  • Publication number: 20020126642
Abstract: In a communication system for a mobile node according to IPv6, a virtual network prefix is configured as a prefix specific to a mobile node in a domain having a plurality of subnetworks. In the domain, a packet is sent to the mobile node by host-based routing on an IPv6 address formed of the virtual network prefix and an interface ID. The communications process with the mobile node which cannot identify a virtual network prefix is performed using a physical network prefix according to IPv6. Accordingly, nodes which can and cannot identify a virtual network prefix can coexist in the domain.

  • Publication number: 20020110123
Abstract: A network connection control apparatus and method are provided for granting access to an authenticated device on a global network to a device on a local network, wherein the access permission setting can be automatically controlled. The network connection control apparatus comprises an access control unit which authenticates the device on the global network which transmitted an access request, creates an access permission entry for the authenticated device, and adds the entry to an access permission list. Upon receiving a data packet from the device on the global network, the access control unit determines whether the data packet should be transferred to the local network on the basis of access information extracted from the data packet and the information about the access permission entry contained in the access permission list.

  • Publication number: 20020099856
Abstract: Information processing device, recording medium and program capable of supporting node movement. A router receives a data packet sent from a node positioned within the same domain and extracts the lower 64 bits of the IPv6 address listed in the end-point address field of that data packet. The router then refers to the routing table and checks whether or not a host entry relating to the interface ID listed in the extracted lower 64 bits is present. When determined that a host entry is present, a data packet is sent.
