  • Patent number: 7095605
Abstract: A solid electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element and an outer shell, made of an insulating resin, that covers the capacitor element. The capacitor element has a winding portion that is formed by rolling an anode foil with a dielectric oxidized film formed on its surface, a cathode foil, and a separator that is sandwiched between the anode foil and the cathode foil, and a conductive polymer layer is formed between the anode foil and the cathode foil. An anode lead wire electrically connected to the anode foil, and a cathode lead wire electrically connected to the cathode foil extend from the winding portion, penetrate the outer shell, and are respectively connected to an anode electrode terminal and a cathode electrode terminal that are arranged on a surface of the outer shell.

  • Patent number: 5766271
Abstract: A solid electrolyte capacitor comprises a capacitor element disposed in a case, and a rubber seal member tightly fitted in an upper opening of the case, with lead terminals projecting from the element and extending through the seal member. To fabricate the capacitor, a TCNQ complex salt is placed into a heating box and melted by heating. The capacitor element is placed into the box, impregnated with the complex salt, then immediately withdrawn from the box and cooled in air to solidify the salt by cooling. Subsequently, the lead terminals of the element are inserted through the seal member. The element is placed into the case which has approximately the same diameter as the heating box, with the seal member attached to the element, and the case is constricted to seal off its opening, whereby the solid electrolyte capacitor is obtained.

  • Patent number: 4876451
Abstract: An aluminum foil type solid electrolytic capacitor wherein the distance between the two foils in the capacitor element to be determined by the thickness of separator being kept at a value between ten to sixty micrometers, solid electrolyte being formed between the two foils by the thermal decomposition of electrolytic solution impregnated in the capacitor element.Manufacturing methods of making an aluminum foil type solid electrolytic capacitor with a manganese dioxide electrolytic layer between the electrode foils, wherein the layer is formed by decomposing the electrolytic solution thermally under conditions of a temperature between 200 and 260.degree. C. and of a time interval between 20 and 40 minutes, wherein the layer is formed by decomposing electrolytic solution with fine powders of manganese dioxide, wherein lithium is doped in the layer or wherein electrochemical conversion processes are used for restoring an aluminum oxide film.
