  • Publication number: 20070003274
Abstract: To make more effective use of the circumference of arm rotation while assisting the arm rotation in terms of the rotatability of an arm that holds a camera head, resulting in a more compact device. The imaging device 100 holds a camera head 120 against a table 110 by means of a camera holding arm 140, and the camera holding arm 140 is axially supported rotatably so that the degree of incline relative to the table 110 is variable. A coil spring 260 is incorporated in a through hole 203b, as well as a recess 143k continuous therewith, about the axis of a first subaxial pin 220 aligned with the axis of the arm axial support. The coil spring 260 assists rotation by building up coil spring stress while the camera holding arm 140 (base 143) rotates toward the table 110, and by allowing the coil spring stress to be exerted in the form of assisting force on the arm when the base 143 rotates in such a way that the angle of incline with the table 110 expands.

  • Publication number: 20060110152
Abstract: To provide an imaging device that can use a single illumination device to offer a light source suitable for imaging a translucent target object, while also enabling the imaging device to be mounted on a platform such as a desk. In case of slide film imaging, an illumination unit holding arm 150 is rotated into a position at a table side and an illumination unit 130 is brought into a sub illuminating attitude where the illumination unit 130 is laid over a top surface of the table 110. On that condition, a film stage 200 is mounted on the table 110 in a manner opposed to a camera head 120, and front end of a stage 202 is overlapped with and engaged to upper end of a casing of the illumination unit 130 that takes the sub illuminating attitude. Light irradiated by the illumination unit 130 in this state enters a region under the stage 202 of the film stage 200, goes through an opening 210 of the stage 202, and at last reaches the camera head 120.

  • Publication number: 20060110151
Abstract: Usability of device is improved for an imaging device that images a target object mounted on a table. In order to hold a camera head 120 and an illumination unit 130 with respect to a table 110 on which a target object is mounted, an imaging device 100 coaxially and rotatably supports a camera head holding arm 140 and an illumination unit holding arm 150 at an elevated portion 118, which is located at an inner-left corner of the table 110, such that degrees of inclinations of the arms may be variable with respect to the table 110. The arms are rotatably and axially supported at the elevated portion 118 such that the camera holding arm 140 can rotate with an accompanying rotation of the illumination unit holding arm 150 and the illumination unit holding arm 150 can rotate independently with no accompanying rotation of the camera holding arm 140.

  • Publication number: 20030133013
Abstract: A camera-assisted presentation apparatus, which is one of imaging apparatuses, has a table including a fixation member and two extension members, and a camera support assembly with a video camera attached to one end thereof. The two extension members are attached to the fixation member in a pivotally rotatable manner. In a service state of the camera-assisted presentation apparatus, the fixation member and the two extension members are extended to form one identical plane and ensure a wide area, on which a material for presentation is mounted. In a non-service state of the camera-assisted presentation apparatus, the two extension members are folded down to a camera holder member and an arm member of the camera support assembly. This arrangement significantly reduces the whole size of the camera-assisted presentation apparatus in its non-service state and effectively enhances the portability of the camera-assisted presentation apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6170954
Abstract: An overhead projector of the under mirror type includes a projection head assembly supported on a column so as to be located over a stage on the top of a housing and so as to be pivotable between a standing position and a stowed position. A projection lens is fixed on a lens frame and a reflecting mirror is fixed on a mirror plate. Both the lens frame and the mirror plate are rotatably mounted on a single shaft further mounted on the head body of the projection head assembly so that angles of the lens and the mirror are increased and decreased. The lens frame is rotated by a self-weight of the lens in such a direction that the angle of the lens is decreased, when the projection head assembly assumes the standing position. A link lever interconnects the lens frame and the mirror plate so that the angles of them are adjusted so that the angle of the lens doubles that of the mirror. A mirror locking element locks the mirror at a position where the angle of the mirror is maximum.
