  • Patent number: 7793711
Abstract: A vehicle air conditioner includes an air-conditioning ECU. The air-conditioning ECU performs a cooling mode operation in which air is cooled by an interior heat exchanger in a cooling refrigeration cycle. The air-conditioning ECU performs a heating mode operation, in which air is heated by the interior heat exchanger in a hot gas heater cycle. The air-conditioning ECU performs an air blowing operation in which air is blown toward an inner surface of a windshield of the vehicle without operating the compressor before performing a refrigerant collecting operation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 21, 2007
Date of Patent: September 14, 2010
Assignees: Denso Corporation, Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
Inventors: Masaya Ichikawa, Kazuhiro Togaru, Yoshihisa Tsuchiya, Ryoji Ehara

  • Patent number: 6553775
Abstract: A vehicle air conditioning system controls an engine and an air conditioner according to an air-conditioner load to thereby improve fuel economy and drivability of the vehicle. A higher compressor torque between a first estimated compressor torque, which is estimated according to the outside air temperature and the vehicle speed, and a second estimated compressor torque, which is estimated according to the refrigerant pressure, is adopted as an estimated compressor torque. When an air conditioner control switch is ON, an operational status of an engine and a compressor are controlled according to the adopted estimated compressor torque.
