  • Patent number: 7825563
Abstract: In an insulator to be inserted into each slot to be attached to adjacent teeth formed at a rotor or a stator of an electric rotating machine, the insulator is composed of insulator segments that are made divisible in a longitudinal direction parallel to a rotational axis of the rotor at a position corresponding to 2 slots and are made divisible in a lateral direction perpendicular to the rotational axis of the rotor, the insulator segments have surfaces to be coupled to each other of a same shape in the lateral direction, and the insulator segments have a creepage distance that is made longer than a distance in the lateral direction, thereby enabling to elongate the creepage distance and to improve work efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6913068
Abstract: A circulating path 12 is provided for circulating a heat transfer medium across the cooling section 6A and an exhaust heat exchanger 9. The circulating path 12 is communicated to an output heat exchanger which is mounted on a hot water storage. The heat transfer medium is circulated by a pump 10 from the exhaust heat exchanger 9 to the oil heat exchanger 5 and the cooling section 6A. The heat transfer medium to be introduced into the exhaust heat exchanger 9 is so controlled in the flow rate that a temperature of the water vapor in the exhaust gas is declined to a temperature lower than the dew point. The heat transfer medium when having received heat directly from the exhaust gas and heat generated by condensation of the exhaust heat is conveyed to the cooling section 6A where its temperature soars up further.

  • Patent number: 6775981
Abstract: An engine operated machine system includes an engine, a working machine driven by the engine, and a waste-heat recovery unit for recovering the waste heat of the engine, each being accommodated in a box-shaped case. The case is provided with a partition wall which partitions the inside of the case into working-machine accommodating and electrical-equipment accommodating chambers, and which has a draft bore connecting the working-machine accommodating chamber to the electrical-equipment accommodating chamber.

  • Patent number: 6324849
Abstract: An engine cooling unit and an exhaust gas heat exchanger 9 for use with the exhaust gas from an engine are connected with a circulation path 12 for circulating a heat transfer medium. The output of the circulation path 12 is connected via a conduit 18 to an output heat exchanger installed in e.g. a hot water storage tank 17. The exhaust gas heat exchanger 9 is disposed across the circulation path 12 at the upstream side of the engine cooling unit of the engine 2. The heat transfer medium introduced into the exhaust gas heat exchanger 9 is set to a lower temperature enough to maintain the temperature of vapor in the exhaust gas of which heat is transferred to the heat transfer medium lower than the dew point. The heat transfer medium after drawing generic heat from the exhaust gas and receiving its condensation heat in the exhaust gas heat exchanger 9 is passed to the engine cooling unit 6A where it draws more heat. Accordingly, the heat generated by the engine 2 can be recovered at a higher efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6290142
Abstract: A cogeneration apparatus is arranged to properly respond to a plurality of separate demands for supplying the thermal energy. A hot water storage tank 17 is provided for storing a first hot water produced using waste heat from an engine generator 10. A first heat exchanger 20 for producing the first hot water and a second heat exchanger 22 for producing a second hot water by drawing heat from the first hot water are provided in the hot water storage tank 17. A temperature sensor TS1 is provided between the first heat exchanger 20 and the second heat exchanger 22 while a second temperature sensor TS2 is provided above the second heat exchanger 22. A controller 29 control the operation of the engine generator 10 in response to the conditions of thermal loads 21 and 24 determined by the measurements of temperature detected by the temperature sensors TS1 and TS2. Also, a re-heating boiler 25 is provided for heating the second hot water to be supplied to the thermal load 24.
