    Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes an emitter that emits a sub-terahertz wave to a person, a detection device, and a phase modulator. The detection device includes: an optical system that images a reflected wave which is the sub-terahertz wave emitted from the emitter and reflected by the person; and a plurality of pixels that are disposed in a planar arrangement and each receive the reflected wave imaged by the optical system, and generates an image, based on the reflected wave received by each of the plurality of pixels. The phase modulator changes an angular distribution of a phase of the reflected wave to be received by the plurality of pixels in the detection device during an exposure period in which the detection device generates the image.

The friction compensation control unit calculates a force for assisting an operation in the master device with respect to friction generated in the slave device on the basis of a moving average of velocity of a movable portion in the slave device. The tactile force transmission unit assists the operation in the master device with a force calculated by the friction compensation control unit and controls tactile force transmission in the master device and the slave device.
