Patent number: 9447851Abstract: A power transmission system transmits power from an internal combustion engine to a first and a second auxiliary device through an endless transmitting member. Prior to issuing of an engine start request, the first auxiliary device is actuated to move a tensioner pulley to a given position to increase the degree of tension of the endless transmitting member. The actuation of the first auxiliary device as an engine starter upon the issuing of the engine start request, therefore, enables a drive shaft of the engine to be rotated immediately within a required time to crank the engine. This achieves a quick start of the engine and results in a decrease in amount of time between the issuing of the engine start request and the actual start of the engine.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2014Date of Patent: September 20, 2016Assignee: DENSO CORPORATIONInventors: Hitoshi Noguchi, Hiroshi Okada, Tomoaki Nakano, Yoshihiro Yamashita, Yousuke Yamamoto, Kazuhisa Hara, Toshihisa Nakajima, Kazuki Matsuo, Toshikazu Mori, Shuhei Oe, Hikaru Kokumai, Kiyoshi Iwade

Patent number: 9328806Abstract: A power transmission system transmits power from a drive shaft of an internal combustion engine to a first and a second auxiliary device through a belt. An auto-tensioner extends or contracts to change the tension of the belt. A controller rotates the first auxiliary device in a reverse direction to loosen the belt to cause the auto-tensioner to extend to increase the tension of the belt and calculates a reversing timing when the drive shaft will be reversed as a result of increasing of the tension of the belt. The controller inhibits the tensioner body from contracting immediately before or when the reversing time is reached to keep the tension of the belt at an increased degree, thereby eliminating the slippage of the belt on each pulley without having to finely control the operation of the first auxiliary device when the internal combustion engine is started.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2014Date of Patent: May 3, 2016Assignee: DENSO CORPORATIONInventors: Hitoshi Noguchi, Hiroshi Okada, Shuzo Oda, Tomoaki Nakano, Yoshihiro Yamashita, Yousuke Yamamoto, Kazuhisa Hara

Patent number: 8083048Abstract: A footstep guide rail (3) (rail body 3a) is arranged so that a level H of a horizontal surface is set at the position obtained by adding a designated offset ? to a tangential line L of a drive sprocket (9) and the footstep guide rail (3) is provided, at its one end on an introductory side of the drive sprocket (9), with a curved part (13). At a reference position closest to the drive sprocket (9), the horizontal surface of the footstep guide rail (3) is changed to the curved part (13). Consequently, it is possible to absorb velocity unevenness of one footstep roller approaching the drive sprocket (9).Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2006Date of Patent: December 27, 2011Assignee: Toshiba Elevator Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yoshinobu Ishikawa, Tadashi Munakata, Yoshio Ogimura, Nobuhiko Teshima, Shigeo Nakagaki, Hitoshi Kawamoto, Kenichi Fujii, Yoshifumi Ikeda, Kazuhisa Hara, Takayuki Kikuchi

Patent number: 7401691Abstract: A mountainous or valley-shaped curved part 13 is provided in a part of a footstep guide rail 3 for guiding a movement of footstep rollers 5 linked by a footstep chain 7, the part being positioned in the vicinity of a drive sprocket 9. Consequently, owing to meshing of the footstep rollers 5 with the drive sprocket 9, an unevenness in velocity of the footstep rollers 5 is absorbed by the curved part 13, so that a moving velocity of the footstep rollers 5 moving on the downstream of the curved part 13 is maintained constantly, suppressing vibrating of the footsteps 4.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2003Date of Patent: July 22, 2008Assignee: Toshiba Elevator Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yoshinobu Ishikawa, Tadashi Munakata, Yoshio Ogimura, Nobuhiko Teshima, Shigeo Nakagaki, Hitoshi Kawamoto, Kenichi Fujii, Tomohiko Matsuura, Yoshifumi Ikeda, Kazuhisa Hara, Takayuki Kikuchi

Publication number: 20070045082Abstract: Handrail drive belts (20A, 20B, 20C, 120A, 120B) are respectively driven in circulatory fashion within a railing (5) by drive force respectively extracted from step sprocket gears (2a, 2b) and a step chain. The handrail drive belts (20A, 20B, 20C, 120A, 120B) transmit drive force to a handrail belt (10, 110) by contacting the inner peripheral surface of the handrail belt (10, 110) at respectively different locations. In this way, the load on the handrail belt in a passenger conveyor of long travel is reduced.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 5, 2004Publication date: March 1, 2007Applicant: Toshiba Elevator Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yoshinobu Ishikawa, Yoshio Ogimura, Shin Muakami, Kazuhisa Hara, Takashi Niino, Tsutomu Ootsuki, Takayuki Kikuchi, Yasuhiro Matsumoto

Patent number: 4238434Abstract: A method of producing a silicon carbide sintered body is disclosed. The sintered body having a density of at least 2.4 g/cm.sup.3 is produced by preparing a mixture consisting mainly of silicon carbide with an average particle size of not more than 3.0 microns and a temporary binder, shaping the mixture into a green body and sintering the green body at a temperature of 1,750.degree. C.-2,100.degree. C. Before the sintering, silicon carbide is contacted with either hydrofluoric acid or anhydrous hydrofluoric acid and an atmosphere is held in a non-oxidizing state after the contact treatment up to the completion of the sintering.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 1979Date of Patent: December 9, 1980Assignee: Ibigawa Electric Industry Co., Ltd.Inventors: Ryo Enomoto, Hiroyuki Tanaka, Kazuhisa Hara
