  • Patent number: 5779775
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a stock solution composition for use in production of hard polyurethane foam, which composition can disperse the flame retardant filler component stably therein when allowed to stand and, when subjected to stirring or an external pressure, has a reduced viscosity, promising easy transfer of the composition and easy foaming in production of hard polyurethane foam at the site. The present invention provides a stock solution composition for use in production of hard polyurethane foam, which comprises, as the essential components, a polyol, a foaming agent, a flame retardant filler, a flame retarder and a solvent-swollen clay mineral. The swollen clay mineral has thixotropy; that is, it is a gel owing to the interaction between molecules when allowed to stand and, when subjected to an external pressure or the like, said interaction between molecules is cut and the gel changes into a liquid sol.

  • Patent number: 5154482
Abstract: A sunroof assembly includes a housing secured to the inner side of a roof panel to surround an opening, a guide rail attached to each of opposing sides of the housing, a shoe disposed in the guide rail so as to be freely slidable longitudinally of the vehicle, a sliding panel connected to the shoe via a cam member for opening and closing the opening of the roof panel, and a driving source for sliding the shoe along the guide rail longitudinally of the vehicle, wherein a pin provided on the shoe is capable of moving in a cam groove of the cam member. One end of a link is pivotally attached to the pin of the shoe, and the other end is pivotally attached to one end of a lever member. The latter is slidably connected to a bracket, which is secured to the cam member and the sliding panel, so as to be relatively movable longitudinally of the vehicle in operative association with the shoe.

  • Patent number: 5066068
Abstract: A panel moving mechanism for a sunshine roof of the type in which the rear end of a panel for closing an opening of the roof of a vehicle is raised and lowered. The mechanism includes a shoe and an arm which are pivotally connected. A pair of pins protrude from the arm and are inserted into respective guide grooves provided in a guide block and a bracket connected to the panel. The longitudinal axes of these guide grooves are bent at the middle sections thereof and are arranged in such a manner that they are not parallel. When the shoe moves toward the front end of the vehicle, the arm is gradually brought to a raised position, thereby raising the rear end of the panel. When the shoe moves toward the rear end of the vehicle, the arm is gradually brought to a horizontal position, thereby lowering the rear end of the panel.

  • Patent number: 4765677
Abstract: A structure for mounting a weatherstrip of a sun roof for a vehicle in which a movable lid having the weatherstrip fitted on the outer peripheral edge thereof is mounted at an opening provided in the roof in such a manner that the lid can be opened and closed as desired. The structure comprises: a projection projecting outward from the vertical wall of a flange formed in such a manner as to extend either downward or upward from the outer periphery of the movable lid; a U-shaped retaining portion formed on the weatherstrip and adapted to clamp the flange; and a projection inward from the retaining portion in opposing relation to the projection formed on the flange. Accordingly, it is possible to reliably retain the weatherstrip simply by fitting it on the flange provided along the outer periphery of the movable lid.

  • Patent number: 4583713
Abstract: A pantograph jack apparatus for elevating a motor vehicle includes first and second upper arms pivotally connected to a supporting plate engageable with the motor vehicle and first and second lower arms pivotally connected to a base plate supporting the jack apparatus at ground level. The first upper arm and first lower arm are pivotally connected to a threaded connecting nut that is threaded on the threaded portion of a shaft member. The second upper arm and second lower arm are pivotally connected to a connecting bearing rotatably mounted on the non-threaded portion of the shaft member. The connecting bearing is axially movable on the shaft member between two stop portions so that, when the connecting bearing abuts against the first stop portion, the jack is in its lowered position for storage and, when the connecting bearing abuts against the second stop portion, the jack is raised to a position where it is engageable with a jacking portion of the motor vehicle body.

  • Patent number: 4493507
Abstract: A tilting type sunroof comprises a roof panel supported with a lift link which is pivotally connected with a shoe. An arm of the lift link is engaged with an inclined groove of a stationary guide. The arm slides along the inclined groove to rotate with a linear movement of the shoe. The roof panel is driven to open or close a roof opening by the rotation of the arm. The inclined groove of the stationary guide has a portion of a large inclination and a portion of a small inclination such that a shift amount of the panel with respect to a shift amount of the shoe is large where the panel is substantially opened, while small where the panel is substantially closed.
