  • Patent number: 6287163
Abstract: A greensheet comprising an inorganic pigment and an inorganic matrix component is applied to a surface of a glass substrate and fired for fixing. The formed shading film has a portion whose thickness is 90% or more of the maximum thickness of the shading film within the range of 0.5 mm from an edge of the shading film. Thus, a shading film that has distinct end faces and has an excellent thickness uniformity can be formed with a good positional accuracy. Therefore, a lamp having a highly precise light distribution property can be obtained. In addition, a lamp having such a property can be obtained with a few steps and at a low cost.

  • Patent number: 6151072
Abstract: A method of controlling automatic focusing in a video camera which has an automatic focusing means for focusing a taking lens in a contrast detecting method, an automatic iris means for controlling an iris according to the brightness of an object, and an automatic gain controlling means for increasing gain of a video signal obtained from image pickup means when a signal level of the video signal is low. The taking lens is made to focus on a point at infinity if the following three conditions are fulfilled: the iris is fully opened by the automatic iris means, and the gain is increased to the maximum extent possible by the automatic gain controlling means, and the taking lens is in a wide-angle state. Thereby, even in the dark at night, the photographing can be performed with the object being in focus.

  • Patent number: 6134431
Abstract: A public key cryptosystem is used for the authentication of a personal station (PS) which subscribes for a plurality of radio communication exchange systems. A public key of PS is registered into a public key DB of a public key management device. A private key is registered into PS. When PS moves into a service area of a certain radio communication exchange system, an exchange in that radio communication exchange system requests the public key management device for a public key of PS and makes a check for authentication of PS based on the public key cryptosystem by use of the received public key. Thereafter, when PS moves into a service area of another radio communication exchange system, an exchange in the other radio communication exchange system similarly requests the public key management device for a public key of PS and receives the same public key.

  • Patent number: 6115434
Abstract: A data match detecting apparatus which sequentially receives input data comprising plural fields, comprises parameter storage which contains a parameter group comprising plural parameters which are checked to detect a match between the plural fields and the plural parameters; parameter selector for selecting a parameter corresponding to a field input as the input data from the parameter storage and outputting the selected parameter; data comparator for checking match between the parameter output from the parameter selector and the input data; a comparison result storing circuit initialing its storage content to match before a first field of the input data for which match detection should be performed is input, storing a comparison result of a comparison result decider when there is an input field, and outputting its storage content when all the fields of the input data for which match detection should be performed have been input; and the comparison result decider storing match in the comparison result storag

  • Patent number: 5920465
Abstract: A connecting structure for interconnection of a flexible printed circuit board (FPC) and a hard printed circuit board (PCB) allowing the FPC and the PCB to be easily connected to each other at a predetermined relative position by fitting a male joint of the FPC into a female joint of the PCB even when a supporting member, such as a casing, is not available immediately below portions of the PCB and FPC to be connected to each other. In the connecting structure for interconnection of an FPC and a PCB according to a specific embodiment of the invention, a surface of the FPC opposed to the PCB is provided with a male joint in the form of a protruding plate, and a surface of the PCB opposed to the FPC is provided with a female joint in the form of an opening or a recess adapted to receive the protruding plate and thereby to position the FPC at a predetermined location of the PCB.

  • Patent number: 5834704
Abstract: In a pattern structure of a flexible print circuit board, a plurality of electric signal transmitting patterns are formed as thin as possible as well as one of at least two void patterns is formed between the electric signal transmitting patterns and cut portions are formed to the respective void patterns so that they are directed in the bending direction of the flexible print circuit board. With this arrangement, the flexible print circuit board can be accurately and easily bent at a bending position without the need of a metal mold and special index patterns.

  • Patent number: 5654528
Abstract: A cover layer of a flexible printed circuit includes a first hole and a plurality of openings. The first hole has substantially the same diameter as that of a positioning piece of an inspection machine. A distance between the first hole and each of the openings is predetermined. After the cover layer is adhered to the base member, a second hole is formed on the base member inside the first hole. A diameter of the second hole is smaller than that of the first hole. At the time of a continuity test, the second hole is deformed by a insertion of the portioning piece, so that the positioning piece is inserted into the first hole. As a result, the flexible printed circuit is positioned on the basis of the first hole.

  • Patent number: 5639994
Abstract: A bypass piece is formed at a forward end of a extension part. Three bypass Cu wiring patterns, which cannot be formed at a extension part, are formed at the bypass piece. The bypass piece is bent from the forward end of the extension part towards the main body so as to overlap the extension part. Connecting portions of the bypass Cu wiring patterns of the bypass piece are soldered to end portions of wiring patterns of the main body.
