  • Publication number: 20030161066
Abstract: In a disk drive, since high-frequency repeatable runout (RRO) components own low correlative relationships between adjoining tracks, a servo control system of a magnetic head is followed to the high-frequency RRO components, and thus, in the worst case, there is a possibility that data which have been previously recorded on these tracks are destroyed. To avoid this problem, both a tracking type repetitive control unit which is followed to low-frequency RRO components, and a rejection type repetitive control unit which cancels the high-frequency RRO components are provided in a following control loop in order that the following control system is not unnecessarily followed to the high-frequency RRO.

  • Publication number: 20030160292
Abstract: The semiconductor optical device according to one of the embodiments includes a substrate, a optical waveguide layer formed on the substrate as a MQW layer having a plurality of well and barrier layers. The semiconductor optical device also includes an optical absorbing layer formed on the substrate and adjacent to the optical waveguide layer so that an incident light having an incident wavelength &lgr;LD through the optical waveguide layer is guided into the optical absorbing layer. Successively formed thereon are a cladding layer and a pair of electrodes. Each of the well layers has a wavelength &lgr;g corresponding to a band gap thereof, that is greater than the incident wavelength &lgr;LD. Also, a band gap energy between base levels of a conduction band and a valence band of the optical waveguide layer is larger than a photon energy of the incident light having the incident wavelength &lgr;LD.

  • Patent number: 6609019
Abstract: The present invention, in the physiological magnetic field measuring instrument, recognizes characteristic waveforms (for example, heart beats) repeatedly appearing by physiological activity from measured signal waveforms, registers one of measured heart beats as a reference waveform, evaluates the difference degree of each measured heart beat data from the reference waveform, and executes the averaging process using only waveforms whose difference degrees are less than the allowable value. The present invention registers waveforms whose difference degrees are more than the allowable value as abnormal data and puts them into the display enabled state. Discrimination information is as signed to measurement conditions necessary for measuring the physiological magnetic field and data analysis conditions and when the discrimination information is designated for measurement, the measurement conditions and analysis conditions can be read.

  • Patent number: 6607379
Abstract: In a known control method, a large deviation between the temperature of a heating plate and a temperature-setting pattern occurs, and an overshoot or undershoot occurs. Therefore, a workpiece is unstably formed, the number of defective parts is increased and the productivity is decreased. Any two temperatures from among the temperature of the heating medium in the inlet manifold 5 that distributes and supplies the heating medium to each heating plate, the temperature of the heating medium in the outlet manifold 8 that collects the heating medium discharged from the heating plates 4 and the temperature of the heating plates 4, are detected. Then, a temperature value is obtained by selecting any one of the two temperatures based on a temperature-setting pattern 16, or is obtained by obtaining a weighted average of at least two temperatures from among the three temperatures based on preset weights.
