  • Patent number: 6552095
Abstract: A laminate comprising a pair of thermoplastic resin members having fluctuation of clearance between the adhesion surfaces thereof, and a thermoplastic material foam layer which adheres the pair of the thermoplastic resin members. This laminate is formed from thermoplastic resin as a whole and can absorb the fluctuation of clearance between the members, and the thermoplastic resin members are firmly adhered with the thermoplastic material foam layer.

  • Patent number: 5626703
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a composite material comprising a matrix resin of a thermal plastic resin and a liquid crystal resin which has a liquid crystal transition temperature higher than the minimum temperature of capable of molding said thermal plastic resin and which is formed into a fiber structure as a reinforcing material. The method is characterized in that the composite composition is subjected to a melt extrusion process at an apparent shear rate of 3.times.10.sup.2 to 10.sup.5 sec.sup.-1 and above the liquid crystal transition temperature. The resulting material in a filament or thin film has fibers of the liquid crystal resin having an aspect of more than 3 in the matrix resin, so that it is provided with an improved tensile strength by further being subjected to a drawing process at a drawing ratio of 11 to 120.

  • Patent number: 5474734
Abstract: A parison is hung down between a pair of molding metallic molds in the opened state, expanding members are contacted with the specified portions of the parison, and after setting the temperature difference between the specified portions and other portions in accordance with a pre-set thickness ratio between both portions after forming thereof, the expanding members are moved while cooling the specified portions of expanding members so as to extend and thin the portions other than the specified portions of the parison, and the metallic molds are closed together so as to blow compressed air into the parison to effect blow-molding.

  • Patent number: 5395470
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method and an apparatus for molding a resin composite sheet having an improved composite property. Therefore, the method and apparatus according to the present invention comprises a step or means of extruding film sheets through plurality of dies from a thermoplastic composite composition comprising a thermoplastic matrix resin, a liquid crystal resin which has a liquid crystal transition temperature higher than a minimum temperature of the matrix resin and an ability to be melt-extruded into a fiber in the matrix resin; a step or means of laminating the liquid crystal resin composite films into an integral or one body sheet by superposing and pressing them to each other at a melt-bonding temperature higher than the minimum moldable temperature of the matrix resin and lower than the liquid crystal transition temperature while discharging the air therebetween by means of the pressing pressure.

  • Patent number: 5174933
Abstract: A cavity pressure is sequentially changed, by relatively displacing two mold dies forming a mold cavity, to a molding presure at which a product is molded in the mold cavity, a coating pressure lower than the molding pressure at which fluidized thermosetting plastic material is injected to form a coating layer, a curing pressure between the coating pressure and molding pressure at which the coating layer is cured, and a finishing pressure between the coating pressure and curing pressure at which the coating layer thermosets. The changing of the cavity pressure to the coating pressure is initiated a predetermined time later than a termination of a drop in pressure from the molding pressure due to shrinkage of the product. The changing of the cavity pressure to the curing pressure is initiated at a peak of an increase in relative displacement between the two mold dies caused by injecting a fluidized thermosetting plastic material in the mold cavity.
