  • Patent number: 7468994
Abstract: An apparatus defines interleave-processing segments to be interleaved in a backward direction relative to a flow direction of bit streams. The segments are defined every time the segments, ILVU-BR, -CR, -DR are successfully set for each of the respective bit streams, VOB-B-VOB-D. In setting the segments for each of the respective bit streams, the segment of one bit stream is set to follow the set segment of other bit stream. When an amount of data of the rest of the bit streams is insufficient to form the final segment, the rest data is distributed among the segments that have been already defined. The defined segments are arranged in the flow direction of the bit streams.

  • Publication number: 20060206461
Abstract: For material data to be captured in a specified capture sequence, a same recording medium must be repetitively loaded or specified unless the capture sequence is continuous. A data capture apparatus for capturing material data in accordance with a capture queue is made up of (a) a file search block for searching a recording medium specified as a material data capture source for a material file subject to capture regardless of a capture sequence specified in the capture queue; and (b) a search result display block for, if a material file subject to capture is found on the recording medium, explicitly displaying all corresponding material files on an operation screen as files to be preferentially captured.

  • Patent number: 5841896
Abstract: A display apparatus and method for displaying a hue of a color signal so as to be readily understandable to an operator. Such apparatus and method utilizes a display having an indicator strip with a series of characters or letters indicating representative colors. Such indicator strip may also provide an indication of the positional relationships between adjacent colors. By displaying a position on the indicator strip, the display provides a readily identifiable indication of the hue so as to enable an ordinary person or unskilled operator to readily comprehend or grasp the hue.

  • Patent number: 5287224
Abstract: In a video signal recording apparatus, information about a video commercial program or message (CM) is recorded in the vertical blanking interval (VBI) of the video signal constituting the commercial message so that the information remains with the commercial program or message even during subsequent editing. Video signals representing a plurality of commercial messages and having respective information in the vertical blanking intervals are serially recorded on a master tape while generating stop code data and recording the stop codes in a longitudinal track on the master tape. Further, a video signal reproducing apparatus is described which can extract data from the VBI and longitudinal track of a tape, process the data and automatically terminate the reproduction after reproducing a stop code.
