  • Publication number: 20100194330
Abstract: A device for controlling an alternating-current motor includes a resolver for detecting a rotational position of an alternating-current motor; and a rectangular wave voltage control unit for performing control based on an output of the resolver to provide a rectangular wave voltage to each phase of the alternating-current motor. The control unit causes an amount of change ?? in a voltage phase of the rectangular wave voltage of each phase from a switching reference phase of each phase to increase or decrease equally for each switching in one cycle of an electrical angle determined based on the output of the resolver. In this way, a device for controlling an alternating-current motor is provided to restrain occurrence of an offset current upon rectangular wave voltage control.

  • Publication number: 20100182425
Abstract: A vehicle interior state recognition device comprises an illuminating means for illuminating infrared rays into a vehicle compartment, an image pick-up means for picking up an image inside the vehicle compartment into which the infrared rays are illuminated by the illuminating means, and a recognizing means for recognizing specified information based on the image picked up by the image pick-up means. Objects of the image picked up by the image pick-up means include a seat which is movable relative to a vehicle body and a passenger seated in the seat, and the recognizing means determines a size of the passenger by comparing contour of the seat with contour of the passenger on the image picked up. Accordingly, the body size of the passenger seated in the seat can be determined accurately.

  • Patent number: 7694763
Abstract: When a shift lever is in a parking position, a rotation restriction index Jm2 is set based on a drive state of an engine or a first motor (S130, S160, S240, and S290). A current value based on the rotation restriction index Jm2 is set to a current command of the d axis in an electric angle when motoring of the engine in a stop state is started and a second motor is controlled such that the magnetic field direction of a stator of the second motor is fixed. This method can appropriately prevent a power shaft from rotating.

  • Publication number: 20090314564
Abstract: A power output apparatus including a power source, an electric motor and a connecting and disconnecting device, and a method of controlling the power output apparatus, are provided. When load driving force is applied from the power source to a power shaft in a condition where the power shaft and a driveshaft are disconnected from each other by the connecting and disconnecting device, lock control is executed to control the motor by fixing a direction of a magnetic field of a stator so as to restrict rotation of a rotor. When the rotor rotates during execution of the lock control, rotation retardation control is executed to control the motor by rotating the direction of the stator magnetic field in accordance with rotation of the rotor, so that driving force is applied from the motor to the power shaft in a direction opposite to that of the load driving force as driving force applied from the power source to the power shaft.

  • Publication number: 20090306852
Abstract: A driving operation support device for a vehicle is provided herein. One exemplary driving operation support device includes a road sensor for acquiring information regarding a section of road ahead of a vehicle over which the vehicle is traveling. The driving operation support device may also include a controller for determining whether the section of road is passable for the vehicle based on the information acquired by the road sensor. The driving operation support device may further include a display provided between the section of road and a driver of the vehicle. The controller may display a guidance element on the display at a position overlapped with the section of the road as seen from the perspective of the driver, such that the guidance element indicates whether the road is passable based on the determination of the controller.

  • Publication number: 20090266655
Abstract: A disc brake cover structure for a vehicle includes a protection cover and a wheel collar. The protection cover is to protect a rotor of a disc brake disposed at a front wheel of a vehicle. The front wheel is rotatably supported via a support shaft between first and second axle holders disposed at a front fork. A wheel collar is to be supported on the support shaft to position the front wheel and connected to the protection cover. The wheel collar is arranged to be sandwiched between a hub of the front wheel and either one of the first and second axle holders.

  • Publication number: 20090237019
Abstract: When a target operation point of either a motor MG1 or a motor MG2 is included in a resonance range specified by operation points of the motor MG1 or the motor MG2 in the occurrence of resonance in a booster converter, a hybrid vehicle controls the booster converter to make the voltage on the side of inverters approach to a preset target boosted voltage that is higher than the voltage on the side of the battery, while controlling the inverters by sine-wave control.

  • Publication number: 20090179602
Abstract: A rotary electric device control device is formed substantially by three signal process flows. A first component is a part generating a 3-phase drive signal supplied from a torque instruction value to an inverter circuit. This is the part from d,q current map to a PWM conversion. A second component detects a drive current value from a motor/generator and feeds back it to the current instruction. This corresponds to a loop for performing coordinate conversion of the drive current and inputting it as a current instruction value to a subtractor. A third component calculates a drive power and rpm of the motor/generator, acquires an estimated torque value, compensates the current instruction value according to the estimated value, and compensates a torque change. This corresponds to a power calculation, an rpm calculation, a torque estimation, and a current instruction compensation unit.

  • Publication number: 20090025992
Abstract: In response to a starting instruction of an engine 22 at a gearshift position of a gearshift lever 81 set to a parking position, the engine 22 and motors MG1 and MG2 are controlled to motor and start the engine 22 with output of a torque from the motor MG2 to keep a rotational position of a rotor in the motor MG2 at a preset reference position. This arrangement enables the engine 22 to be motored and started even in the state of separation of a ring gear shaft 32a from a driveshaft 36 by means of a transmission 60 and locking of drive wheels 39a and 39b by means of a parking lock mechanism 90.

  • Publication number: 20080076629
Abstract: In response to a change of a gearshift position from a parking position to a driving position, the control system of the invention connects a power shaft with a driveshaft linked to drive wheels (steps S310 and S380), while performing rotation restriction control to form a fixed magnetic field on a stator of a second motor and thereby prohibit rotation of a rotor in the second motor (step S300). This arrangement desirably restrains rotation of the power shaft and accordingly prevents the occurrence of a shock in the course of connection of the power shaft with an axle.

  • Patent number: 6185973
Abstract: A rolling mill for metal foil includes a pair of work rollers having axes in parallel to each other for subjecting a sheet material being supplied therebetween to strip processing, two pairs of intermediate rollers arranged so that the intermediate rollers of each pair are in contact with one of the work rollers and have axes in parallel to the axis of the contacting work roller, and two pairs of backup rollers arranged so that the backup rollers of each pair are respectively in contact with one pair of the intermediate rollers. Each pair of intermediate rollers and the pair of backup rollers in contact with the pair of intermediate rollers impart roll load to the work roller in contact with the pair of intermediate rollers. The rolling mill enables the production of large-width metal foil too thin to be self-supportable in shape with ease and high precision.
