  • Patent number: 6751408
Abstract: An anti-reverse claw is in mesh with a winding dial of a lens-fitted photo film unit. The anti-reverse claw has a pair of welded pieces. The welded pieces go behind a rear cover of the lens-fitted photo film through a pair of holes formed in the rear cover. After assembling, a welding head is applied to the rear side of the rear cover to apply heat. The welded pieces and a separation plate are melted and mixed together, so that the anti-reverse claw is firmly fixed to the rear cover.

  • Patent number: 6473565
Abstract: A lens-fitted photo film unit has a main body preloaded with photo film. A front cover covers a front of the main body. An exposure unit is secured between the main body and the front cover, for providing the photo film with an exposure. A plate-shaped information imprinting module is secured between the main body and the front cover with the exposure unit. Positioning pins are formed in the front of the main body. Positioning holes are formed in a rear of the information imprinting module, and are fitted on the positioning pins. The information imprinting module is subsequently kept positioned between the front cover and the main body by fitting the front cover on the main body.

  • Patent number: 6469844
Abstract: A lens element, that is guided along a tapered wall of a lens holder and slipped into the lens holder, is fixedly held on a lens support collar at a bottom of the lens holder by thermally deforming fixing claws of the lens holder so as to grasp the outer periphery of the lens element. The fixing claws are arranged in diametrically symmetrical positions with respect to a center axis of the lens holder so as to align the optical axis of the lens element and the center axis of the lens holder.

  • Patent number: 6205060
Abstract: In a production process of a photo film cartridge, data relating to respective components and data obtained during the production process is written in an IC memory that is mounted to a cartridge shell of the photo film cartridge. The data written in the IC memory is read out at later stages of the production process for use in controlling production of the photo film cartridge. The data is at least partly maintained stored in the IC memory after the shipment, for use in tracing production history of the photo film cartridge. When a photo film cartridge having an IC memory is for use in a lens-fitted photo film unit, unit type data indicating the type of the film unit are written in the IC memory before loading the photo film cartridge in the film unit. The unit type data is read out from the IC memory to choose a proper type of packaging materials for the film unit before a unit body of the film unit is wrapped and packed in the packaging materials.
