  • Patent number: 6468199
Abstract: The present invention relates to a magnetic resonance medical treatment device for applying magnetism to the body of a patient to thereby treat decease or improve the patient's health condition. The invention also relates to a method for magnetism variation control adapted to control magnetism generated by a magnetism generator such as the magnetic resonance medical treatment device. In order to enable diversified magnetic medical treatments, a magnetic resonance medical treatment device according to the present invention includes a director which contains two magnetism generators—which each include a bar core and a conductor wound on the bar core—and a magnetism regulator connected to the director and adapted to individually regulate the intensities and directions of magnetic forces generated by the magnetism generators. A method for magnetism variation control according to the present invention causes one magnetism generator to resonate with the other magnetism generator.

  • Patent number: 5922012
Abstract: A low-frequency electrotherapeutic device can overcome problems ascribable to tolerance in neural response and problems ascribable to accumulation of electric charge in a living body, thereby affording a comfortable massaging effect. Each electrode can be designated as a different electrode or as an indifferent electrode by a controller. Electrodes do not assume a fixed paired structure, and the path of stimulating electric current is changed at predetermined intervals by scanning electrodes serving as different electrodes. The path of an electric current flowing on the skin of a living body can be changed in various ways, the number of which corresponds to the number of paths connecting the electrodes. Consequently, it becomes possible to freely select a desired electric current path or a desired combination of electrodes in accordance with a program stored in a control section (CPU) incorporated in the controller. Also, it becomes possible to automatically change the combination at predetermined intervals.

  • Patent number: 5755749
Abstract: A method for controlling changes in stimulation of every sort and kind including electrical stimulation, utilizes a three-dimensional 1/f fluctuation. The method is a change control method for controlling changes in stimulation to an object using a three-dimensional 1/f fluctuation and includes the steps of causing changes based upon 1/f fluctuation periods in the X-Z plane of a X-Y-Z space, causing changes based upon 1/f fluctuation periods in the X-Y plane of the space, superposing the caused changes of the previous steps, and applying the superposed caused changes to the object. This makes it possible to realize a low-frequency device free of problems attributable to the tolerance in neural response. A recording medium used to store the change control method, and a change control device using a three-dimensional 1/f fluctuation are also disclosed. Changes based on 1/f fluctuation periods in the X-Z plane and changes based on 1/f fluctuation periods in the X-Y plane are superposed on each other.

  • Patent number: 4969417
Abstract: A cage of experimental animals comprises a body, a position detection part to be assembled with the body and a cover for covering the body. The body has a cylindrical cover projected from a bottom thereof, a keeping space defined between a side wall of the body and the cylindrical cover for keeping experimental animals. The position detection part has a position detector at the circumferential surface thereof for detecting the behavioral movement of the animal.

  • Patent number: 4968974
Abstract: An observation apparatus comprises a transparent keeping cage having cylindrical outer and inner walls defining an annular keeping space therebetween, a group of circumferential position detectors, a group of standing action detectors, a group of inner peripheral position detectors, a group of outer peripheral position detectors, and a data processing unit for processing detection signals produced by the detectors to determine the actions of an experimental animal through the analysis of the detection signals produced by the detectors. The detectors of each group are arranged on a circle at equal angular arrangement. Four detectors each belonging to one of the four groups of detectors are arranged in a set on the same radius and driven simultanelously or sequentially, and the sets of the detectors are driven sequentially one at a time to avoid interference between the detectors. The data processing unit is simple and compact in construction and has amplifiers for each set of the detectors.
