The control section causes the provision section to provide the information regardless of whether or not a user has issued a request in a case where a situation that should be understood by the user is detected. Provided is a provision system including: a provision section configured to provide information to a user; and a control section configured to control the provision of the information by the provision section. Abstract: A verification result holding unit holds a result of ID verification performed on an electronic key through wireless communication. When an operation control unit detects an operation request signal for a lock mechanism, the operation control unit permits operation of the lock mechanism as long as the verification result holding unit holds a result indicating ID verification accomplishment.

Abstract: In transponder communication (near field wireless communication), an electronic key uses drive radio waves as a power source and thereby does not need to be supplied with power from a key battery. To establish transponder communication, the distance between the electronic key and the vehicle has to be shorter than that for smart communication. However, transponder communication can be performed to switch a plug lock device between a lock state and an unlock state when a smart system cannot perform smart communication that switches the lock device between different states.
