Abstract: A control apparatus for feeding recording paper to an electrophotographic copying machine from one or the other of a pair of cassettes permits not only selection of a desired cassette with the desired size paper, but if one cassette is replaced with a new one, perhaps containing a different size paper, the electrophotographic copying machine will automatically be fed from the replacement cassette irrespective of the position of the cassette selecting equipment.

Abstract: A transfer type copier having a rotatable drum of the type containing a long web of photosensitive material therein. The rotatable drum has a lid and a drum body, the lid being movable to permit replacement of the web and also to permit the web to be moved stepwise from inside the rotatable drum to the periphery thereof in order to position a new portion of the web on the drum body. The drum lid is movable to two positions, one of which permits the web to be removed and changed and in which the drum body is rotatable but not the lid, and the other in which the web can be moved stepwise and in which the lid remains rotatable with the drum body.

Abstract: An improved cleaning apparatus for an electrophotographic copying device which comprises (a) a cleaning brush, (b) a casing for said brush having a front end portion which forms a first opening and a rear end portion which forms a second opening adapted to pass a toner therethrough, said brush within said casing and positioned adjacent said first opening so as to be adapted to contact a work surface, (c) a filter bag having a rim which forms an opening adapted to pass toner therethrough and which substantially overlaps said rear end portion, whereby a gap is formed between said rear end portion and said rim, and (d) means for suction of toner-containing air through said filter bag.
