  • Publication number: 20090208310
Abstract: An anchoring device includes an insertion member having a trough-shaped trunk and a pocket provided at the front end of the trunk. A plate nut is inserted in the pocket and formed with a threaded hole at its portion protruding from the pocket. A seat member is fitted around the trunk. An engaging rib is formed on the inner surface of the seat member. A plurality of steps are formed on the outer surface of the trunk and arranged in the longitudinal direction of the trunk. When the seat member is moved toward the front end of the trunk, the engaging rib engages the respective steps one after another, thereby preventing the seat member from moving toward the rear end of the trunk. Any step nearer to the rear end of the trunk is smaller than any step nearer to the front end of the trunk.

  • Patent number: 6821069
Abstract: An anchor device is provided which makes it possible to fasten various members or instruments to a wall to the back of which hands cannot reach with a bolt. The anchor device includes an inserting member molded of a synthetic resin, a nut mounted to the tip of the inserting member, and a tubular seating member mounted on the inserting member. The inserting member has a bag-like portion integrally formed at the tip of an elongated trough-like trunk portion having a semicircular section through a bendable portion. The nut, which has a semicircular section, is received in the bag-like portion. By inserting the anchor device into a hole formed in a wall member, it fixes an article to be fastened by use of a bolt.

  • Patent number: 6679664
Abstract: A plate nut assembly is provided in which a protrusion provided on a nut has a centering guide function relative to a circular hole so that the protrusion reliably fits in the circular hole to prevent displacement of the nut assembly, even if an external force is applied in a direction perpendicular to an axis of a bolt threaded to the nut. Around an entrance of a threaded hole on one side of the nut, of such a dimension so as to be received within a circular hole formed beforehand in a wall or the like, at a position where the nut is inserted into the hole, the protrusion is formed so that height of the protrusion decreases in a direction away from the threaded hole. A recess having substantially the same outer shape as that of the protrusion is formed around the threaded hole on another side of the nut. The recess has opposed end walls that are inclined such that a distance between the opposed end walls decreases in a direction toward a bottom of the recess.

  • Patent number: 6669420
Abstract: A nut assembly is proposed in which deformation will not occur at the end of a threaded hole formed in the nut and it is not necessary to give special consideration to the formation of female threads. A nut is pivotally and slidably mounted between opposed arms of a frame. A threaded hole is formed in the nut so as to extend therethrough, a ridge is integrally provided on the back side, and a hole is provided coaxially with the threaded hole. The hole has an inner diameter substantially equal to or greater than the root diameter of the female threads of the threaded hole.

  • Patent number: 6579050
Abstract: A nut assembly is proposed for fastening an instrument or the like to a member, the back of which is not accessible. A nut assembly comprises a pivotable nut having a threaded through-hole and a pin on each side thereof, and a frame having a flange portion formed with a bolt hole and an opposed pair of arms extending from both sides of the flange portion. The arms are each formed with an elongated hole, and the nut is formed at one end thereof with an inclined guide surface for pivoting the nut when pushed by a bolt. The nut is pivotably and slidably mounted between the arms with the pins received in the elongated holes formed in the arms. The arms have free end portions bent inwardly at an angle. With this arrangement, it is possible to prevent the nut from coming off the arms.

  • Publication number: 20020154964
Abstract: A plate nut assembly is provided in which a projection provided on the nut has a centering guide function relative to a circular hole so that the projection reliably fits in the circular hole to prevent displacing of the nut assembly, even if an external force is applied in a direction perpendicular to the axis of a bolt. Around an entrance of the threaded hole one side of the nut, within such a range as to be within the diameter of a hole formed beforehand in a wall or the like at its portion where the nut is inserted, a protrusion is formed on one side of the nut around the threaded hole, so that the height decreases as it is farther from around the threaded hole, and a recess having substantially the same outer diameter as the protrusion is formed around the threaded hole on the other side of the nut, the recess having opposed end walls inclined such that the distance between the opposed end walls decreases as they go deeper.

  • Patent number: 6386809
Abstract: A nut assembly is provided which has a pivotable nut having both sides thereof increased in wall thickness to impart strength and thereby to prevent breakage of the nut upon tightening of a bolt. The nut assembly includes a nut having pivot pins about which the nut is pivotable, and a frame having a flange formed with a bolt hole and a pair of arms provided on both sides of the flange. A pair of hanging walls extending in the bolt inserting direction are provided around the bolt hole at two opposing positions on an imaginary plane perpendicular to a line connecting the pins. This makes it possible to narrow the width of the guide hole of the nut in which the hanging walls are received by an amount by which the banging walls have narrowed. By this arrangement, the wall thickness of both sides of the nut is increased.

  • Patent number: 6314703
Abstract: A fastener can be inserted into a narrow space behind a wall, and can be brought into contact with the back of the wall over a wide area to sufficiently reinforce the wall even when a bolt is tightened to securely fasten an object to the wall. The fastener has a block assembly including a plurality of blocks having two longitudinal ends and coupled together at the longitudinal ends in a single line. One of the blocks is formed with a threaded hole into which a bolt is adapted to be threaded and string holes. At least one string member is passed through the string holes. The block assembly has an arrangement for preventing each block from pivoting in a first direction from a straight position, in which the block assembly is arranged in a straight line, and allowing each block to pivot in a second direction opposite to the first direction from the straight position.

  • Patent number: 6272814
Abstract: A method of packaging a plurality of nut assemblies. Each nut assembly includes a flat head formed with a bolt hole, a pair of elongated flat arms extending parallel to each other in one direction from both sides of the head and each formed with a longitudinally elongated hole, and a nut substantially in the shape of a square pole having first and second opposed pairs of longitudinal sides and formed with pins protruding laterally through the first opposed pair of longitudinal sides and loosely received in the respective elongated holes of the arms so that the nut is pivotable about the pins relative to the arms. The nut is further formed with a threaded hole extending therethrough between the second opposed pair of longitudinal sides. To package such nut assemblies, a resilient package formed with elongated grooves having a width smaller than the distance between the second opposed pair of longitudinal sides of the nut is prepared, and a plurality of nut assemblies are pushed into the grooves of the package.
