  • Patent number: 6352360
Abstract: A continuous mixing plant that, for example simply continuously feeds the necessary materials while metering the amount thereof and drops these materials by gravitational force so that the mixed material may be manufactured continuously. As a means for attaining this object, a continuous mixing plant comprising a continuous metering and feeding means for feeding at least two kinds of materials to be mixed with each other while continuously metering the materials, and at least one mixing box unit for mixing the materials, is characterized in that the mixing box unit is provided with: a plurality of modified passages each of which has an inlet at one end and an outlet at the other end and a cross-sectional shape of which is continuously changed from the inlet toward the outlet and which extend in an axial direction; and a merging and dividing means.

  • Patent number: 6332707
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a kneader capable of improving both of its kneading and mixing functions, irrespective of a horizontal arrangement or a vertical arrangement, with a comparatively simple design not to degrade the workability thereof. To attain the object of the invention, a kneader adapted to knead an object material by passing it through a plurality of irregular passages (22, 23), each having a sectional shape varied, from an inlet port thereof toward an outlet port thereof, comprising a kneader body (20) having a material supply port (20a) at one end thereof, a material discharge port (20b) at the other end thereof and a plurality of irregular passages communicating with the supply port (20a) and the discharge port (20b), and supply means (10) for supplying the object material to the kneader body. The sectional shape of each of the irregular passages (22, 23) of the kneader body (20) is varied progressively from an inlet port (22a) toward an outlet port (22b).

  • Patent number: 5947600
Abstract: A static mixing method for running a material through an element having at least two irregular passageways. Irregular passageways have an inlet, an outlet and a continuously varying sectional configuration from inlet to outlet. The mixed materials have a fluidity and are fed by pressurization into the apparatus. The mixed materials are compacted and reshaped by the sectional configurations.

  • Patent number: 5843350
Abstract: A method of easily consecutively manufacturing a layered structure with the same or different kinds of materials superposed in a plurality of layers, is attained by a simple mechanical method. The layered structure manufacturing method is embodied by use of a shaping apparatus having a unique construction. The shaping apparatus includes a plurality of irregular passageways disposed in a side-by-side relationship in the same direction, wherein sectional configurations of the irregular passageways continuously vary from inlets thereof toward outlets, and the irregular passageways are superposed on each other at the outlets. An apparatus body as a principal portion of the shaping apparatus may be constructed by connecting a plurality of elements in series, which are internally formed with the irregular passageways. Materials to be shaped, which exhibit a fluidity or plasticity, are fed into the inlets of the irregular passageways in the shaping apparatus.
