  • Patent number: 12086181
Abstract: A document retrieval system retrieving a document with the concept of the document taken into account is provided. The system includes a processing portion and the processing portion creates a retrieval graph from a retrieval composition. The retrieval graph includes first to m-th retrieval local graphs (m is an integer of greater than or equal to 1), and the retrieval local graphs are each constituted by two nodes and one edge. The processing portion performs retrieval of first to m-th sentences on a reference document. The i-th sentence (i is an integer of greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to m) includes one of the two nodes in the i-th retrieval local graph or a related term or a hyponym of the one of the two nodes; the other of the two nodes in the i-th retrieval local graph or a related term or a hyponym of the other of the two nodes; and the edge in the i-th retrieval local graph or a related term or a hyponym of the edge.

  • Publication number: 20230207375
Abstract: A semiconductor wafer held by a Bernoulli chuck is reliably rotated. A wafer holding apparatus includes: a chuck for holding a semiconductor wafer; and a rotating mechanism for rotating the chuck. On a facing surface of the chuck facing the semiconductor wafer, a plurality of pads and a plurality of support parts are formed. The chuck holds the semiconductor wafer by jetting gas from each of the plurality of pads. The plurality of support parts is formed at positions each deviated from a center of the facing surface of the chuck. When the chuck holds the semiconductor wafer, the plurality of pads is not in contact with the semiconductor wafer while the plurality of support parts is in contact with a principal surface of the semiconductor wafer.

  • Patent number: 8964123
Abstract: An AV device includes a communication component, a determination component, and a controller. The communication component is configured to receive a signal outputted from a source device. The determination component is configured to determine whether or not the signal received by the communication component includes an audio signal and a subtitle signal, and a video signal included in the signal received by the communication component has a moving picture. The controller is configured to control a brightness of a backlight to be low in response to determining that the signal received by the communication component does not include both the audio signal and the subtitle signal, and that the video signal has the moving picture.

  • Patent number: 8326028
Abstract: It is possible to compatibly set multiple “dropout” color ranges and “non-dropout” color ranges and uniquely determine a dropout boundary. An object of the present invention is to greatly conserve maintenance cost of adding a new dropout form after apparatus operations. A conventional technology aims at assuring relation to a predetermined color region, determining the presence or absence of contention, or uniquely settling a dropout boundary. The present invention provides a means for supplying levels to a “dropout” color range and a “non-dropout” color range. A registered color range histogram can be quasi-three-dimensionally visualized so that an operator can make adjustment by viewing a contention determination result and an image.

  • Patent number: 5835922
Abstract: In an apparatus for and a method of processing document information, according to a requirement of a writer of document information, the document information is generated, referenced, and re-constructed. Further, according to a requirement of a reader of the document information, the information is referenced and re-constructed. The apparatus includes a reader terminal including means for inputting a requirement of a reader of document information and means for outputting document information referenced and re-constructed according to the requirement, and a writer terminal for inputting therefrom a requirement of a writer of document information and creating document information. The apparatus further includes a document processing unit connected to the reader terminal and the writer terminal.

  • Patent number: 5717794
Abstract: A document recognition system includes various recognitive steps for document recognition, and various correctional steps corresponding to the recognitive steps. The operation modes of the system are a "sequential mode" (sequential recognition operation) in which the respective recognitive steps are executed in "step by step" fashion, an "auto mode" (batch recognition operation) in which all the recognitive steps are collectively executed, and a "retry mode" (re-recognition operation) in which the execution of any of the correctional steps is automatically followed by the execution of a necessary one of the recognitive steps. In the "sequential mode", any of the recognitive steps having been executed can be shifted, not only to the correctional step corresponding to the executed recognitive step, but also to the correctional step preceding the execution.
