  • Patent number: 7438037
Abstract: An internal combustion engine includes: a cylinder block having one or more cylinders, a cylinder liner in a tubular shape disposed inside the cylinder; a piston reciprocating inside the cylinder liner and having a top land portion formed of an outer periphery of the piston sandwiched between a piston head and an uppermost ring groove; and a liner installation ring forming, inside the cylinder, a circular step portion protruding toward the inner periphery of the cylinder liner. The liner installation ring is disposed in the cylinder block or the cylinder liner in such a manner that the bottom face of the liner installation ring face to the uppermost portion of the cylinder liner. The liner installation ring is disposed at a position in accordance with the upper end position of the top land portion when the piston reaches a top dead center. The liner installation ring is set to protrude from the inner periphery of the cylinder liner in an inward direction at a length of 0.05 mm or more to 0.5 mm less.

  • Patent number: 6062904
Abstract: Disclosed is a PC card connector wherein since only one board is used, the number of steps necessary for carrying out, e.g., soldering on the board in the assembly process is cut down, the production cost is reduced, and the time required for the assembly work is shortened, wherein since a conversion connector is required to have a space for insertion of only one board, the connector itself and a unit receiving the connector are reduced in both size and weight, and wherein since an inner layer of the board serves as a specific ground layer, a sufficient grounding effect is achieved. The PC card connector comprises a single board provided with two sets of connector pins to which two PC cards are stuck and plugged, and a conversion connector to which the board is attached.

  • Patent number: 6042401
Abstract: A push rod 4 is held on an outside surface of one side of frame 3 guiding draw and insert of the IC card 1 so that the push rod 4 can reciprocally move, and this push rod 4 is always pressed to the drawn direction of the IC card 1 by a coil spring 10. A transfer pin 12 is rotatably supported by a hole 4c of the push rod 4, and this transfer pin 12 is pressed toward the outside surface of the frame 3 by a flat spring 13. A heart-shaped cam groove 14 having a plurality of cam surfaces A to E is engraved, and an operating section 12a formed at an end of the transfer pin 12 is engaged with this cam groove 14. In addition, a drive plate 15 is held on the outside surface of the frame 3 so that the drive plate 15 can reciprocate along the draw and insert directions of the IC card 1, and a receiving section 15a of this drive plate 15 is inserted into the long groove 3c continuing to the cam surface D of the cam groove 14.

  • Patent number: 6015309
Abstract: In a PC card connector, first and second support shafts are mounted upright on a pin housing, and each provided with a pair of fall-preventive sections at the leading end thereof. A first turn arm is provided with a circular hole, a protrusion, a tongue, a concave section on the rim of the circular hole, and a pair of cutouts that cross the concave section, and the circular hole is fitted on the first support shaft through the cutouts so that the first turn arm can move pivotally. A second turn arm is formed similarly to the first turn arm, and a circular hole thereof is fitted on the second support shaft so that the second turn arm can move pivotally. A drive lever is provided with a circular hole, an engaging section, a coupling hole, a thin concave section formed on the rim of the circular hole, and a pair of cutouts that cross the concave section.

  • Patent number: 5738532
Abstract: A pin contact of a connector and a method of fabricating the pin contact which enables a substantial decrease of manufacturing cost, and smooth installation of the pin connector without a change in the pitch of arrangement at the time of press-fitting into a pin housing. A flat metal sheet undergoes blanking and pressing to form a narrow piece including a strip portion of decreased area of a fracture. Then an approximately L-shaped connecting portion is bent at right angles to raise the narrow piece sideways. Thereafter the strip portion of the narrow piece is pressed along the direction of rising, to thereby form an approximately cylindrical contact section. A raised piece at the rear of the contact section is provided with a locking section which faces approximately at right angles with the direction of arrangement.
