Abstract: An information providing apparatus includes an updating unit that updates an electronic medical chart of a patient; an acquiring unit that acquires information identifying contents of diagnosis and treatment recorded on the updated electronic medical chart; an authenticating unit that authenticates the patient based on the acquired information and information identifying contents of diagnosis and treatment that is sent from a communication terminal of the patient; and a sending unit that sends the updated electronic medical chart to the communication terminal when the patient is authenticated at the authenticating.

Abstract: Temperature-responsive amphipathic glycopeptides and temperature-responsive micelles are provided by utilizing oligopeptide. A synthesized glycopeptide that does not occur naturally and is represented by the following chemical formula (1), and a temperature-responsive micelle composed of the glycopeptide are provided. (where x is any amino acid residue, L1 and L2 are linkers, SUGs are sugar chains, m is 0 or 1 and n is an integer from 1 to 10, and L1 and L2 may be identical with or different from each other and SUGs may be identical with or different from each other.

Abstract: A styrene derivative carrying N-acethylchito-oligosaccharide chains, a polystyrene derivative carrying N-acetylchito-oligosaccharide chains on the side chains as well as a method for preparing these compounds are herein disclosed. The method for preparing the styrene derivative comprises reacting N-acetylchito-oligosaccharide lactone with vinylbenzylamine or a derivative thereof while the method for preparing the polystyrene derivative comprises polymerizing the styrene derivative. These derivatives can be employed as biomedical materials, in particular as materials for cell culture.
