Abstract: A database search system includes a database classified into at least one or more; keyword search means for extracting data including a first word group from the database; and wildcard search means for, in a case where a second word group including a wildcard character is used for a search together with the first word group, automatically retrieving as a search result only data including a word matching the second word group including the wildcard character from among the data extracted based on the first word group.

Abstract: A word/phrase display apparatus for handling a language used in wide areas only supported words/phrases of one area, and a plurality of types of apparatuses were necessary even when handling the same language. Spelling difference information corresponding to each area in added to recorded words/phrases in advance and only words/phrases of a designated area are displayed. The designation of an area can be set by a user using an external switch or the like.
