  • Publication number: 20060215203
Abstract: This invention provides a data storage output apparatus that includes an input component, plural output components, a storage component and a conversion component. The input component inputs data. The plural output components output data in different respective data formats. The storage component stores data in an intermediate format, which can be converted to data formats required by the respective plural output components. The conversion component converts the data stored in the storage component to a data format corresponding to the output component and outputs the data to the output component.

  • Patent number: 7002709
Abstract: The reproduction of a copy inhibit image and the abuse of data through a network are to be prevented without sacrificing various page editing functions. An image read unit scans an original placed on an original carrying table and thereby generates RGB color image signals of multi-value. An image processing unit performs various image processing and, upon detection of a copy inhibit original, performs image working for preventing faithful reproduction of the copy inhibit original. An image storing unit temporarily stores page by page original images provided from the image processing unit. If a copy inhibit image is contained in the original images, the image working is performed by the image processing unit to prevent faithful reproduction and the images after the image working are stored in the image storing unit. An image output unit performs a printing operation in accordance with image data outputted from the image processing unit.

  • Patent number: 6621944
Abstract: A color copying apparatus is capable of making copies without performing a prescan. Input image data of RGB format read from an image input unit is written in an image memory through the shading/gap correction unit and an input &ggr; correction unit. This input image data is supplied to a detection unit through a first color space conversion unit to distinguish color from monochrome in the input image data, and to detect the base color level and the like. Next, on the basis of these detection results, states of a second color space conversion unit, a selector, a frame-erase/base color removal unit and the like are set. Thus, the input image data is read out again from the image memory, and is supplied to an image output unit through the first color space conversion unit to an output &ggr; correction unit.

  • Patent number: 5537222
Abstract: A image edit apparatus in which area data of 16-bit width have been stored at the memory locations of the corresponding addresses of the respective memory planes of a plane memory 403. The operation of reading area data therefrom by a pseudo sync signal starts before a line sync signal becomes active. A density-conversion/area generating circuit 405 converts the data format from the plane type to the pixel type, so that area commands are generated. Then, the circuit 405 reads an edit command out of a logic RAM, using the area command as address, and outputs the command. By reading the area data earlier and processing that data, a delay in the density-conversion/area generating circuit can be absorbed, so that the output edit command is synchronized with the image data.

  • Patent number: 5481372
Abstract: An area control system for an image processing apparatus including a input unit 1 for inputting image signals, a area control unit 2 for generating control signals according to a specified area, document type and processing mode, and a processing unit 3 having a plurality of processing blocks 3-1, 3-2, . . . for processing image signals by setting parameters in the processing blocks 3-1, 3-2, . . . , comprises a decode unit 4 for generating signals to switch the parameters in the processing blocks 3-1, 3-2, . . . of the processing unit 3 by control signals for each area generated by the area control unit 2. The decode unit distributes the control signals from the area control unit to the processing blocks, through the decode unit 4. With such an arrangement, when the area control unit 2 merely outputs the document type and a processing mode for each area, such as an input mode and an output mode, the decode unit 4 automatically generates control signals for the processing blocks 3-1, 3-2, . . .

  • Patent number: 5315416
Abstract: A matrix unit receives a luminance signal L* for a uniform color space and two color difference signals a* and b*. Then, when a control signal has given instructions for a mono-color editing operation, the matrix means outputs only the luminance signal L* out of the picture image data fed into it, and, when a control signal is given otherwise, the matrix means generates and outputs toner color signals for the colors Y, M, C, and K. A multiplying unit multiplies with a prescribed coefficient the picture image data which are output from the matrix unit, and the multiplying unit multiplies the picture image data with a coefficient for permitting the toner signal output from the matrix unit to pass through in case the control signal has not given any instructions for any mono-color editing operation, and multiplies the input luminance signal L* with four coefficients corresponding to the color as instructed by the control signal and generate four toner color signals for Y, M, C, and K.

  • Patent number: 4827880
Abstract: The invention relates to a pulsation controller in the intake/exhaust systems of internal combustion engines inclusive of two-cycle gasoline engines, four-cycle engines and rotary piston engines, and includes a device for detecting by means of a sensor pulsation in the intake/exhaust pipes connected to a cylinder, and a control means for allowing the desired pressure wave in the pulsation to coincide with the given position of the intake/exhaust system by the detection result obtained by this sensor. The phase of a standing wave in the intake/exhaust system of the engine is detected to control the impedance or the timing for opening and closing valves or ports in the intake/exhaust system and, hence, the phase of a standing wave in the intake/exhaust system, thereby improving the intake/exhaust efficiency for more efficient operation.

  • Patent number: 4488428
Abstract: An ultrasonic air flowmeter for an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle includes at least two ultrasonic transmitter-receivers. One of the ultrasonic transmitter-receivers generates ultrasonic waves toward an upstream of an air flow so that a radiation direction of the ultrasonic waves obliquely intersects a direction of the air flow. On the other hand, the other ultrasonic transmitter-receiver generates ultrasonic waves toward a downstream of the air flow in the same manner. A difference in phase between outputs of the receivers is detected to obtain a rate of the air flow.
