    Abstract: A reflector type fluorescent lamp for use in an optical apparatus, such as a copying machine, has stripe shaped main aperture 3 and narrow stripe shaped sub-aperture 4, wherein the main aperture 3 has no reflective layer 5 and no phsophor layer 6, and the sub-aperture 4 has the phosphor layer 6; the light emitted from main aperture is used to illuminate a document to be copied and another light emitted from the sub-aperture 4 is used to erase electric charge on a photosensitive material drum.
