Publication number: 20150381498Abstract: A network system includes a plurality of first computers, which transmit and receive data via a network and are equipped with a plurality of active and standby communication paths. A second computer is connected with the first computers via the network. Each first computer acquires path information concerning active and standby communication paths in the network and traffic of the active communication path and transmits them to the second computer. The second computer: predicts a load on each network node when the communication path is to be switched to each standby communication path; selects a first computer, whose communication path should be switched, and a standby communication path, which is a switching target, based on the prediction result; and requests the first computer to switch the communication path to the standby communication path.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 13, 2013Publication date: December 31, 2015Applicant: HITACHI, LTD.Inventors: Kazumasa NOMURA, Yusuke OHASHI, Masaru TODA

Patent number: 5207210Abstract: An engine with a row of cylinders is provided with two intake ports and intake valves and two exhaust ports and exhaust valves for each cylinder. The intake ports are arranged on one side of a center line of the row of cylinders, adjacent to each other, and side by side in a direction parallel to the cylinder row. The exhaust ports are arranged on another side of the center line, adjacent to each other, and side by side in the direction parallel to the cylinder row so that their centers are located at a distance apart which is larger than a distance at which centers of the intake ports are separated. The cylinder is formed with a "squish" surface between the exhaust ports which provides a squish area between the cylinder head and piston. This produces a squish or compressed flow of the air-fuel mixture to the exhaust ports in the combustion chamber.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 1992Date of Patent: May 4, 1993Assignee: Mazda Motor CorporationInventors: Naoyuki Yamagata, Noriyuki Iwata, Kenji Kashiyama, Kazumasa Nomura

Patent number: 5205265Abstract: An exhaust gas recirculation system of an engine equipped with a supercharger has an exhaust gas circulation passage for circulating exhaust gas into an intake system from an exhaust system, and a return passage for returning exhaust gas introduced into the exhaust gas circulation passage to the exhaust system. The exhaust gas circulation passage is made available to the exhaust gas when the engine operates within a specified area of engine operating conditions in which supercharging is to be effected. The return passage is made available to the exhaust gas when the engine operates within an area, other than the specified area, of engine operating conditions.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 1992Date of Patent: April 27, 1993Assignee: Mazda Motor CorporationInventors: Kenji Kashiyama, Kazumasa Nomura, Noriyuki Iwata, Naoyuki Yamagata

Patent number: 5203311Abstract: Disclosed is an exhaust gas recirculation system for an engine having a high compression ratio or with a supercharger. An outside EGR duct connecting the exhaust system to the intake system is provided with a first control valve, which has a second outside EGR duct bypassing the first control valve. The second EGR duct has a second EGR control valve and a cooler. When the engine exists in an extremely low load state, the first and second control valves are closed to inhibit the outside EGR. In the light load state, the first control valve is opened while the second control valve is closed, thereby allowing recirculation of the EGR gases having high temperature and reducing the pumping loss.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 1991Date of Patent: April 20, 1993Assignee: Mazda Motor CorporationInventors: Mitsuo Hitomi, Toshihiko Hattori, Kenji Kashiyama, Junsou Sasaki, Kazuaki Umezawa, Tadayoshi Kaide, Noriyuki Iwata, Naoyuki Yamagata, Kazumasa Nomura
