Abstract: An apparatus, a content retrieval method and a program facilitate recognizing content details of a moving image by displaying a retrieval result for each of a plurality of images. A metadata extracting unit extracts metadata of a representative image from content supplied from a content input unit and stores the metadata in a metadata database. An image feature quantity extracting unit extracts image feature quantity from content and stores it in an image feature quantity database while extracting image feature quantity from a retrieval image. A retrieving unit compares the image feature quantity of the retrieval image with the image feature quantity stored in the image feature quantity database and specifies a still image which is similar to the retrieval image. An output unit reads metadata of the content, generates display data necessary for performing timeline displaying, and generates display data for displaying a retrieval result on a timeline.
Abstract: Provided is a vinyl chloride resin composition having superior heat resistance, colorability and processability without using a heavy metal stabilizer such as lead. The present invention relates to a vinyl chloride resin composition which comprises, in addition to a vinyl chloride resin, (a) an organic acid calcium salt, (b) an organic acid zinc salt, (c) an organic acid potassium salt and (d) a polymer of alkyl ester of C4 to C10 acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, the polymer having a number average molecular weight of 1,000 to 4,000. A field of view of a diffracted light image is scanned with only one spatial filter, and a state change with respect to the intensity profiles in the absence of insertion of the spatial filter is detected. A setting condition for a spatial filter is determined on the basis of the detected state change.

Abstract: When examination at a scan speed equal to or higher than the line rate of the sensor such as a TDI sensor is carried out, the line rate of the TDI sensor is asynchronous with the scan speed, and the image is blurred. Therefore, a TDI sensor cannot be used at a scan speed equal to or higher than the line rate of the TDI sensor. This problem has not been considered. To solve the problem, high-speed examination irrespective of the line rate of the TDI sensor is enabled. To control the line rate of the TDI sensor and stage scan speed asynchronously and to solve the problem of the image addition variation due to the charge accumulation of the TDI sensor, the object to be examined is irradiated with thin-line illumination, and only a given pixel line of the TDI sensor is made to receive light scattered by the object to be examined. The aspect ratio of the detection pixel size can be controlled by the speed ratio between the line rate of the TDI sensor and the stage scan speed.
