  • Publication number: 20040029383
Abstract: A flexible printed circuit board-fixing adhesive sheet including: a base; and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed on at least one surface of the base and containing an acrylic-based copolymer, and an aluminum-based crosslinker, the acrylic-based copolymer containing (meth)acrylic alkyl ester having an alkyl group with 4 to 14 carbon atoms as a main monomer component and containing a functional group in one molecular. The functional group contained in the acrylic-based copolymer may be derived from a functional group contained in a functional group-containing copolymerizable monomer as a copolymerizable monomer component. The ratio of the amount of the functional group-containing copolymerizable monomer to the total amount of monomer components may be selected to be in a range of from 0.1% by weight to 10% by weight. Preferably, the base is a heat-resistant film allowed to be used continuously at a temperature of not lower than 100° C.

Abstract: A damping material is made of a porous member having an absolute characteristic impedance value of not less than 800 kg/m2·S in the frequency range of from 1.0 to 3.0 kHz. A damping method has steps of providing a damping material in the interior or on the periphery of a vibration-generating apparatus, characterized in that as the damping material there is used a compressible porous member having an air permeability of from 1×{fraction (1/10)}10 to 2×{fraction (1/10)}2 cc/cm2/sec based on an atmospheric pressure difference of 2.039×{fraction (1/10)}4 mMH2O or a porous member having an absolute impedance value of not less than 800 kg/m2·S in a frequency range of from 1 to 3 kHz or one obtained by providing a film layer thereon. A disc drive has a motor for rotating a disc as a data recording medium and a damping material provided in the interior and/or on the periphery of a housing having at least a space in which the disc can be mounted.

  • Patent number: 5217405
Abstract: A heater unit of an air mixing apparatus for an automotive vehicle includes a core case for housing a heater core and a distribution case communicating with the core case. The distribution case includes a vent duct connecting port connectable to a vent duct previously fixed to an instrument panel; at least one defroster duct connecting port connectable to at least one defroster duct also previously fixed to the instrument panel; and in particular, a guide duct connectable to a side vent duct extending to a driver seat side and fixed to a vehicle body. Since the guide duct is additionally included with the distribution case, it is possible to previously fix the vent duct extending to the front passenger seat side and defroster ducts to the instrument panel, so that the duct assembly workability is improved markedly and the ducts can be reliably fixed to the instrument panel.

  • Patent number: 5211603
Abstract: An air induction device for use in a motor vehicle. The vehicle has first and second air passages through which outside air and inside air pass respectively. The air induction device comprises a casing in which a motor-driven blower fan is installed. The casing has upper and lower portions. The upper portion has at least two openings which are respectively connected to the first and second air passages and selectively closed and opened by a door structure. The lower portion includes a bottom wall portion and two inclined side wall portions which are raised from a periphery of the bottom wall portion. An outlet passage conveys air from the interior of the casing to a remote position. The two inclined side wall portions are formed with respective lower inlet openings which are connected to the second air passage and selectively closed and opened by respective pivot doors. Each door is arranged to pivot outside the casing.

  • Patent number: 5195574
Abstract: An automobile air conditioning system supplies conditioned air to the passenger compartment of an automobile. The air conditioning system includes an evaporator for cooling the incoming flow of air and a heater core for heating the incoming air from said evaporator to a predetermined temperature. The air conditioning system also includes front and rear vent units for expelling conditioned air, and a control unit which includes a single mode selector for expelling heated air out the front vent unit and a dual mode selector for expelling heated air out both the front and rear vent units. A bypass for directly leading air from the cooling unit to the front vent unit is provided for the air conditioning system. The control unit opens the bypass when the single mode and maximum cooling mode are selected, and closes the bypass when the dual mode is selected.

  • Patent number: 5173922
Abstract: A sensor holder for holding a temperature sensor is disclosed, which comprises a first part having a first passage formed therethrough and a second part having a second passage formed therethrough. The first and second parts are so united as to coaxially connect the first and second passages thereby to constitute an elongate passage through which air flows in a direction from the first passage to the second passage. The temperature sensor is located at a given position in the first passage. A heat insulating air cavity is provided by the first part near the temperature sensor.
