  • Patent number: 8590683
Abstract: A drive plate that has a ring gear capable of meshing with a gear of a motor, and that transmits power from the engine to an element to which the power is to be transmitted. The drive plate includes a plate member that is fixed to a crankshaft of the engine. A ring gear member is formed as an annular member having the ring gear in its outer periphery. A plurality of fastening portions are each fastened to the plate member on an inner peripheral side with respect to the ring gear. A plurality of extended weld portions each extend from the inner peripheral side with respect to the ring gear to a side of the element, each having a free end that is welded to an outer periphery of a constituent member of the element to which the power is to be transmitted.

  • Patent number: 8100809
Abstract: A first element of a duplex planetary gear set is selectively coupled to an input shaft via a third clutch, or is selectively fixed via a first brake. A second element is selectively coupled, via a second clutch, to an intermediate shaft that is directly coupled to a speed-increasing element of a simplex planetary gear set which increases the rotational speed of the input shaft, or is selectively fixed via a second brake. A third element is directly coupled to an output shaft. A fourth element is selectively coupled to the input shaft via a first clutch. Therefore, by increasing the speed of the rotation of the input shaft by the simplex planetary gear set and transferring it to the duplex planetary gear set, it is possible to reduce the torques on individual components of an automatic transmission and therefore to reduce the sizes of the individual components and the capacities of the individual friction engagement elements.

  • Patent number: 7650973
Abstract: A hydraulic power transmission device includes a toroid portion, a turbine hub, and a lock-up device. The toroid portion includes a pump impeller and a turbine runner. The turbine hub is engaged with an input shaft of a transmission and holds the turbine runner. The lock-up device is installed so that it engages and disengages freely and it mechanically transmits to the turbine hub rotation that is transmitted from a drive power source. The toroid portion and the lock-up device overlap in the axial direction. Because the toroid portion and the lock-up device overlap in the axial direction, the size of the hydraulic power transmission device in the axial direction can be reduced, and the hydraulic power transmission device can be made more compact.

  • Patent number: 7255186
Abstract: An output of an internal combustion engine is transmitted to an output shaft by controlling a control motor to change a rotation speed output from the engine without speed steps via power distribution planetary gear. An output of a drive motor is input to the output shaft by changing the speed into two-step decelerated rotation by means of an automatic transmission. The transmission produces a desired torque by decelerating the speed by a large degree when a vehicle speed is low, and produces a desired number of revolutions by decelerating the speed by a small degree when the vehicle speed is high.

  • Patent number: 7075441
Abstract: A state where a seal is stuck to an article is detected, and an unauthorized takeout is prevented. A stuck state detection seal comprises a sealing base member to be stuck to the article N and a sealing surface member to be stuck to the sealing base member overlapped thereon. Between the sealing members, there are provided stuck state detection means for detecting a stuck state between the two and an RF unit that transmits a detected stuck state signal and transmits/receives a takeout state signal of the article N. In the store are provided passage reception antennas for receiving the stuck state signal transmitted from the RF unit, gate reception antennas for receiving reading state signal transmitted from a bar code reader through the RF unit, and a store control unit for judging whether the takeout of the article N be permitted based on the reading state signal.

  • Patent number: 6935450
Abstract: A motor/generator is arranged radially outward of a middle portion of a front cover of a torque converter so that at least a part of the motor/generator axially overlaps the torque converter, with a predetermined gap (C) between the front cover and the rotor of the motor/generator. The rotor of the motor/generator is supported by either the torque converter or an engine crankshaft or by any two of the torque converter, a motor housing and the crankshaft. The rotor is not affected by the torque converter and the efficiency of the motor is not reduced.

  • Publication number: 20050173026
Abstract: A carburizing and hardening method enhances strength while sufficiently reducing hardening strain, without increasing the production cost, and a carburized and hardened member produced thereby. The raw material is an alloy steel which contains Fe as a main component, 0.10 to 0.50 wt. % C and 0.50 to 1.50 wt. % Si and having a hardenability J, based on an end quenching test, in a range of 35 to 50 (at 12.5 mm). After the raw material is formed into the desired shape, a carburized layer is formed by carburizing in an oxidation inhibiting atmosphere. After the carburizing, quenching is performed with cooling, uninterrupted by temperature rise, from a pearlite transformation point (A1 point) to a martensite transformation start point (Ms point), and with a severity of quenching H in a range of 0.01 to 0.08 (cm?1).
