  • Patent number: 4735663
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus for bonding a printing plate to a flexible endless printing belt passed around and between a plate cylinder and an adjustable cylinder. Marked on the surface of the printing belt are a first reference line perpendicular to a center line of the printing belt and a second reference line parallel to said center line. Set below the transparent plate is a third reference line parallel to the longitudinal reference line. A turned over printing plate is placed on said transparent plate at an intersection of the third and transverse reference lines and has an adhesive on its rear surface. The first marked reference line on the surface of the printing belt is aligned vertically with said transverse reference line. The plate cylinder is rotated to bring the first marked reference line to a position just above said transverse reference line.

  • Patent number: 4731311
Abstract: An electrically conductive material containing no substantial amount of water and prepared by polymerizing, in the presence of an oxidizing agent, a compound having conjugated double bonds on a base material in a gas phase. The base material has spaces capable of retaining the oxidizing agent. The electrically conductive material is used for at least one electrode of a secondary battery.

  • Patent number: 4730947
Abstract: A printer having a control circuit device adapted to be connected to a host computer through a cord for drivingly controlling operating sections which includes a printing mechanism and a sheet feeding mechanism.A control part of the control circuit device is formed by a control circuit section in the form of cassette having an outer end portion to which one half portion of a connector is secured. This half portion of the connector is adapted to be connected with the other half portion of the same connector mounted on an associated end of the cord. In an internal space of the printer, a receiving section for accommodating therein the cassette type control circuit section is defined, so that the control circuit section is detachably mounted through an insert port which opens at a first side of the printer different from a second side thereof along which a printing sheet is fed to the printer.

  • Patent number: 4646297
Abstract: A detector circuit for detecting skew or phase shift of at least three logic signals comprises an OR gate for receiving a plurality of logic signals, an exclusive-OR gate for receiving an output signal from the OR gate as well as a reference logic signal, and a pulse width check circuit responsive to the exclusive-OR gate for providing the skew detection result.

  • Patent number: 4613395
Abstract: Methods of bonding a printing plate on a base film and an apparatus therefor are disclosed. The apparatus includes a pair of support mechanisms, one of which is horizontally located and the other of which is disposed at a right angle with respect to the horizontal one. A strip of paper is reeved around the horizontal support mechanism, while a strip of film is reeved around the vertical one. A plotter is provided above and in conjunction with the horizontal support mechanism for marking the location on which to place a printing plate, on the paper reeved around the horizontal support mechanism. A half mirror is disposed in close proximity to both of said horizontal and vertical support mechanisms for projecting the location marked on the paper onto the film reeved around the vertical support mechanism. Using a lifter, the operator looks down the half mirror to view the location of a printing plate as projected onto the film, and bonds the printing plate to the base film in that projected location.
