  • Patent number: 4880952
Abstract: This invention relates to a heat cooking apparatus having a flat heater firmly attached to an outside surface of the wall surface of the heating chamber the flat surface being composed of flatly configured heating elements with a heat-proof insulator therebetween. Also, by forming a non-metallic layer on the inner surface of the metallic wall surface facing the heating elements, heat from the heater is efficiently and uniformly conducted so as to perform uniform heating and high heat-cooking efficiency.

  • Patent number: 4745246
Abstract: A high frequency heating apparatus wherein oven heating and grill heating are performed by means of a flat heating element, and no heater and projections such as an insulator for holding a heater are provided, whereby, when high frequency microwave energy is supplied to the heating chamber with an oven plate placed in the heating chamber, abnormal heating such as local heating and sparks do not occur. Also, with the oven plate placed in the heating chamber, heating can be performed by means of high frequency microwaves and a heater which can be used alternately or in combination depending on situations to obtain the most preferably heating condition.

  • Patent number: 4675510
Abstract: An arrangement comprises a hinge (4) positioned in the lowest region of the front surface at a front opening (2) in a heating chamber (1), a door (3) swingable around the axis of the hinge (4), and a weight detecting section (11) provided on the hinge (4) of the door (3) for detecting the weight of a heating load (20) by converting deformation produced by the load into an electric signal, wherein the weight of the heating load (20) placed on the door (3) when the latter is opened is detected by the weight detecting section (11). Accurate weight detection is possible no matter where the heating load (20) may be placed on the door (3). Tare subtraction weight detection is possible by utilizing a microcomputer. Further, it is also possible to automatically control heating operation in association with weight detection.

  • Patent number: 4673800
Abstract: A cooking apparatus comprising a rotary table disposed inside a heating chamber so as to mount food to be heated, and a motor which rotates the rotary table. The rotary table and the motor are integrally supported in a floating state by a resilient member, thereby allowing the food and the rotary table to vibrate or move vertically. This vertical vibration or movement is measured by employing a detector, and the weight of the food is measured from the output of the detector. The rotary table is provided with a biasing means interlocked with a door for regulating the height of the rotary table or stabilizing the same when the door is opened. In the case where the vibration of the rotary table is particularly detected, the rotary table is forced to vibrate by the action of the biasing means thereby allowing highly accurate measurement of the weight of the food.

  • Patent number: 3965325
Abstract: A microwave oven in which the oven chamber is defined by upper and lower portions each generally triangular in section and which is provided with efficient microwave reflecting and distributing arrangements. The lower portion is defined by a main casing and the upper portion, which includes the oven chamber front and top walls, is defined by a concave portion in a door assembly which is hinged along a rear edge portion and may be pivoted upwards to open positions and downwards to a closed position. When in a completely opened position the door assembly exposes the top and front of the oven, whereby insertion or removal of food may be effected through the top or front of the oven, and the oven permits convenient use when placed at different levels.

  • Patent number: 3943318
Abstract: A microwave oven comprising a cubical casing with front edges of its side walls cut diagonally at an angle and with its top wall made much shorter than the lower wall for hingedly supporting a door slantwise at the front edge of the top wall. The door is provided with a see-through observation window of triangular cross section projecting outwardly from its surface, so that the inner surface of the window forms part of the heating room together with the casing upon closure of the door, while an object being heated in the oven is readily observed through the window from various angles during cooking without requiring any separate illuminating source.
