Abstract: The invention provides a novel nitrogen-containing heterocyclic derivative having 2,6-disubstituted styryl and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic derivative and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, in particular, a pharmaceutical composition effective as a sodium channel inhibitor, having an excellent analgesic action especially on neuropathic pain with minimized side effects.

Abstract: Provided are an acid addition salt of (+)-2-[(inden-7-yloxy)methyl]morpholine (compound A) and a novel crystal thereof, which are for use as a medicament or a drug substance, and which has high storage stability, particularly high stability against humidity and light. An acid addition salt of the compound A with an acid selected from benzenesulfonic acid and hydrobromic acid is a compound which is isolated in the form of a crystal, is a solid at room temperature, exhibits no hygroscopicity at such a level that causes a problem for use as a medicament or a drug substance, has stability against humidity and light, and is therefore extremely useful as a medicament or a drug substance.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating nociceptive pain, containing a morpholine derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, as an active ingredient. The present invention is useful in providing an excellent pharmaceutical composition for treating nociceptive pain. In addition, the present invention is particularly useful in providing a pharmaceutical composition for treating pain accompanying a disease selected from the group consisting of rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatoid spondylitis, osteoarthritis, spondylosis deformans, gouty arthritis, juvenile arthritis, scapulohumeral periarthritis, and cervical syndrome, lumbago, lumbago accompanying spondylosis deformans, menalgia, pain and tumentia after inflammation, operation or injury, pain after odontectomy, and cancer pain. In addition, the present invention is particularly useful for alleviating pain in a damaged cartilage region, and is particularly useful for osteoarthritis in which NSAIDs are not effective.

Abstract: The piperidine derivative of the present invention in which the 4-position of the piperidine ring is bonded, via vinylene, to a mono-substituted (—R1) or unsubstituted benzene ring and the 1-position of the piperidine ring has an acyl group [—C(?O)—R4], or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof has an excellent sodium channel inhibition action and an excellent analgesic action and shows a high analgesic effect particularly to neurogenic pain.

Abstract: This invention relates to a pyrazolotriazole derivative represented by the general formula: ##STR1## wherein each symbol means as follows; R.sup.1, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 : one of them represents hydrogen, tetrazolylated biphenylmethyl or lower alkyl,R.sup.2 : hydrogen, tetrazolylated biphenylmethyl, cycloalkyl or lower alkyl, andR.sup.5 and R.sup.6 : these may be the same or different from each other, and each represents hydrogen, halogen, tetrazolylated biphenylmethyl, formyl, carboxyl, esterified carboxyl, cycloalkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkoxycarbonyl, or lower alkyl which may be substituted with hydroxyl, formyl or carboxyl,provided that at least one of R.sup.1 to R.sup.6 is tetrazolylated biphenylmethyl, and the broken lines mean that the pyrazolotriazole ring forms three double bonds, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and to a process for the production thereof, wherein the above compound (I) is useful for treating various diseases caused by the physiological function of angiotensin II.
