  • Publication number: 20130259745
Abstract: The occurrence of splash of a sample or a reagent from a nozzle tip is prevented during shifting of a dispensing mechanism. An automatic analyzer includes a nozzle for sucking liquid to be dispensed; a pump for allowing suction of the liquid into the nozzle and generating pressure variations; a pipe line connecting the nozzle with the pump; and a shifting mechanism for shifting the nozzle in horizontal and vertical directions. In the automatic analyzer, the pipe line is at least partially composed of a flexible tube. The flexible tube has an upward or downward convex bending portion in the middle thereof. The convex bending portion changes in position and shifts along with the shifting mechanism at a nozzle side.

  • Publication number: 20130064737
Abstract: Disclosed is an automatic analyzer designed so that when it discharges a sample into an empty reaction vessel, the analyzer dispenses the sample without bringing a distal end of a sample probe into contact with a bottom surface of the reaction vessel and can thereby dispense the sample with stable dispensing accuracy in addition to extending lives of the sample probe and the reaction vessel.

  • Publication number: 20090220383
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an automatic analyzer that can eliminate the generation of air bubbles of dissolved gas in a liquid circulating in a thermostat bath enabling stable photometry. A degasifier for removing the dissolved gas in the liquid and a bypass passage for ensuring a flow rate required for temperature control of the circulating liquid are provided in a passage for temperature-controlled liquid circulating in the thermostat bath. The automatic analyzer can reduce the dissolved gas concentration to a level at which air bubbles of the dissolved gas in the liquid do not appear while maintaining a flow rate required for temperature control of the liquid circulating in the thermostat bath, thus eliminating air bubbles passing through the light flux during photometry and accordingly enabling stable photometry.
