  • Patent number: 8370257
Abstract: A print system allowing a user to obtain a transaction statement in a safe and easy manner is provided. For this purpose, a print system includes: a banking terminal; and a digital multi-function peripheral performing data communication with a Web server having transaction statement data and PIN code stored in association with each other, through an external network and an in-store network. The banking terminal is adapted to include an operation panel receiving a request from a user for an output of a transaction statement, and a PIN code generating unit and a receipt issuing unit for generating and outputting a PIN code in response to the received request. The digital multi-function peripheral is adapted to include an operation panel receiving the PIN code input by a user operation, a control unit obtaining transaction statement data corresponding to the received PIN code from the Web server, and a printer unit outputting a transaction statement based on the obtained transaction statement data.

  • Patent number: 8175916
Abstract: An image forming system includes a sheet accommodating section, an image forming section, a term management section, a detecting section, and a display section. The sheet accommodating section has a plurality of sheet trays each accommodating therein printing sheets with advertisement. The term management section has stored therein information on a term of validity of the advertisement as advertisement term information connected with a sheet tray. The detecting section detects whether or not the advertisement is currently valid, based on the advertisement term information. Also, the detecting section determines during printing whether or not the term of validity of the advertisement on the printing sheets accommodated in a sheet tray being used in printing has expired. The display section displays information that a sheet tray other than the sheet tray being used is present which accommodates therein printing sheets each carrying an advertisement which is currently valid, if any.

  • Patent number: 7440124
Abstract: An ink-jet printer system includes an ink-jet printer and a multiple number of host machines. The ink-jet printer has a storage portion for holding the completion time of the last printing operation while each host machine has a controller having an inactive time computing portion which computes the inactive time of printing operation of the ink-jet printer. This is done by comparing the completion time of the last printing operation held in the storage portion with the current time when a printing operation starts and a recovery treatment controller for controlling the execution of a recovery treatment of the ink-jet printer in accordance with the inactive time of ink-jet printer.

  • Publication number: 20010043249
Abstract: In an ink-jet printer system including an ink-jet printer and a multiple number of host PCs, the ink-jet printer has a storage portion for holding the completion time of the last printing operation while each host PC has a controller comprised of an inactive time computing portion which computes the inactive time of printing operation of the ink-jet printer by comparing the completion time of the last printing operation held in the storage portion with the current time when a printing operation starts and a recovery treatment controller for controlling the execution of a recovery treatment of the ink-jet printer in accordance with the inactive time of ink-jet printer. This configuration makes it possible to know the exact time when the ink-jet printer was used last and hence the exact inactive time, whereby it is possible to maintain the ink-jet printer with the least number of recovery treatments and hence reduce the time required for the recovery treatments and consumption of ink.

  • Patent number: 6211898
Abstract: The present invention has been made for the purpose of obtaining an optical apparatus which avoids the necessity for changing a control unit for appropriate control of a light source or making a modification to the control unit even when the type and specifications of the optical apparatus are changed, whereby costs for designing the control unit may be reduced. In the case where a comparative table stores therein LEND signal times and data starting times respectively corresponding SYNC signal periods of three apparatuses of different types, a CPU searches for a SYNC signal period coincident with the measured SYNC signal period from among the SYNC signal periods which are stored in the comparative table, and executes control of signals for an optical unit by using the obtained LEND signal time and data starting time corresponding to the searched SYNC signal period.
