    Abstract: The invention intends to provide a dental diagnostic device capable of detecting whether or not an electric leakage path which departs from a root canal, bypassing an apex is contained in a conductive path. The dental diagnostic device includes a measuring electrode, an oral electrode, a measurement signal applying means, a measuring means and a detecting means. The measuring electrode is inserted into a root canal of a tooth which is a diagnosing object. The oral electrode is brought into electric contact with oral mucosa. The measurement signal applying means applies a measurement signal in between the measuring electrode and the oral electrode. The measuring means obtains data corresponding to the electric characteristic of at least part of a conductive path between the measuring electrode and the oral electrode based on measurement of electric response to the measurement signal.
