  • Publication number: 20090036762
Abstract: In a pulse oximeter of the invention, an arterial blood oxygen saturation at least at a walking end point of time is stored in a storage, in response to a detection result from a detector for detecting whether a subject is walking. With use of the pulse oximeter, a measurement result on arterial blood oxygen saturation in association with walking can be automatically obtained, without the accompaniment of a laboratory technician or a like support.

  • Patent number: 7195516
Abstract: The battery housing structure having the battery cavity for housing the battery and the battery cavity lid for closing the opening of the battery cavity, is provided with: the pushing portion for pushing the battery housed in the battery cavity toward the battery cavity lid; the supporting member that supports the battery cavity lid so as to be pivotable about the shaft substantially parallel to the pushing direction of the pushing portion; the battery armature that is provided on the battery cavity lid and is in contact with the electrode of the battery housed in the battery cavity; the slanting part provided on the side, of the battery armature, that comes into contact with the electrode of the battery first when the battery cavity lid is pivoted from the position to open the battery cavity to the position to close the battery cavity. The battery armature pivots while pushing the battery housed in the battery cavity in the direction of the pushing portion.

  • Patent number: 6452627
Abstract: A calibrating system of a display characteristic measurement apparatus includes a calibration pattern display unit for displaying a calibration pattern at substantially the same luminescence characteristic as that of a display apparatus to be measured, an image pickup unit provided in a display characteristic measurement apparatus for picking up a calibration pattern displayed on the display apparatus to generate image data, and a calculator for calculating, based on the generated image data, calibration data for the display characteristic measurement apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6008619
Abstract: A drive current and a regenerative current are alternately applied to a motor during a PWM (pulse width modulation) time period. The regenerative current is produced by an electromagnetic induction of an armature and flows in the opposite direction as the drive current. Therefore, a rotating speed of the motor is reduced, so that a speed-reduction following characteristic for the motor is improved. By varying the duty factor, the lengths of time during which the drive current and the regenerative current are flowing can be controlled. Thus, the speed of the motor can be controlled.

  • Patent number: 5440340
Abstract: A CRT measurement device includes an image pickup device for producing an electrical image signal with respect to a light image displayed on the CRT, an optical system having a movable focusing lens for providing a light image of varied sharpness to the image pickup means in accordance with position of the focusing lens, a sharpness detector for detecting the sharpness of a picked up image based on an electrical image signal each time the focusing lens is moved, a focal position detector for detecting a focal position of the focusing lens providing a most sharpness light image, a driver for driving the focusing lens so as to move to the detected focal position, and calculator means for calculating a characteristic of the color CRT based on the image signal produced when the focusing lens is at the focal position. This device assures automatic and accurate focusing.
