  • Patent number: 7957863
Abstract: There is provided a vehicle information recording apparatus capable of making a user easily recognize vehicle information which is recorded in the presence of electric power supply from a backup power source. When a vehicle is involved in an accident and the impact caused by the accident has triggered the interruption of electric power supply from a vehicle power source section and thereupon electrical power is supplied from a backup power source section, predetermined identification information “?A” is added to a folder name of a vehicle power source folder where still image information is recorded in the presence of electric power supply from the vehicle power source section, whereby a backup power source folder is created on a CF card as a new folder. Part of still image information stored in a second SD-RAM is recorded in the backup power source folder created on the CF card.

  • Publication number: 20110078802
Abstract: A display device displays data recorded in a portable recording medium by a drive recorder on a display unit. A code recording unit records a security code in the recording medium in which data is recorded by the drive recorder. A nonvolatile storage device stores a security code which is the same as the security code for use at the time of recording in the recording medium. A code acquisition unit acquires the security code from recorded contents of the recording medium in which the data is recorded by the drive recorder. A code authentication unit enables the display unit to display the data recorded in the recording medium when the security code acquired from the recording medium coincides with the security code stored in the storage device.

  • Publication number: 20100194887
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a method for displaying vehicle driving conditions wherein provisions are made to identify, when playing back video information acquired by a drive recorder showing the actual field of vision of a driver, thereby making it possible to investigate, for example, how an accident or the like has occurred. More particularly, the invention provides a method for displaying vehicle driving conditions, including the steps of acquiring vehicle speed information and video information captured by a vehicle-mounted image capturing device, obtaining a field of vision angle based on the speed information, and displaying the video information along with a field of vision corresponding to the field of vision angle.
