    Abstract: Provided is a multilayer adhesive sheet which enables easy separation between an adhesive layer and a die attach film during the pick-up even in cases where an acrylate ester copolymer is used in the die attach film, thereby making the pick-up work of semiconductor chips after the dicing easy. The multilayer adhesive sheet comprises a base film, an adhesive layer that is disposed on one surface of the base film, and a die attach film that is disposed on an exposed surface of the adhesive layer. The adhesive that constitutes the adhesive layer contains: (A) a (meth)acrylate ester copolymer; (B) an ultraviolet polymerizable compound; (C) a multifunctional isocyanate curing agent; (D) a photopolymerization initiator; and (E) a silicone polymer.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a magnetic disk apparatus constructed to reduce a track positional deviation of a magnetic head. This magnetic disk apparatus includes a rotary mechanism for rotating the magnetic disk and a rotary type actuator, provided with the magnetic head at its front end, which magnetic head has a write head and a read head, for moving the magnetic head in such a direction as to traverse tracks of the magnetic disk by making rotations about a rotary shaft. A distance A from the center of rotation of the rotary type actuator to the magnetic head is set equal to or larger than a distance B from the center of rotation of the rotary type actuator to the center of rotation of the magnetic disk. Even when separating a write element and a read element, the track positional deviation of the magnetic head can be reduced.

    Abstract: A rotary type actuator for a magnetic disk device includes a magnetic head that traverses tracks of the magnetic disk as the actuator rotates about a rotary shaft. The rotary type actuator has at least one arm for the magnetic head at its front end. A first flat cable has one end connected to the rotary type actuator, for making an electrical connection to the electronics in the disk device. A second flat cable is provided on the side surface of the arm, for electrically connecting the magnetic head to the first flat cable. The first flat cable includes a plurality of lands arranged along an extended direction of the arm. The second flat cable includes a first land group provided at one end of the second flat cable for electrically connecting to the magnetic head. The first land group has a plurality of lands arranged along an extended direction of the arm. A second land group is provided at the other end of the second flat cable for electrically connecting to the first flat cable.

    Abstract: A storage apparatus such as a magnetic disk drive or an optical disk drive having dual I/O ports is disclosed. The storage apparatus has a connector mounting structure which reduces the number of parts and produces a cost savings. When used in a disk drive, the storage apparatus incudes a disk enclosure, a printed circuit board arranged on the bottom surface of the disk enclosure, and connectors mounted on the printed circuit board. One end of the printed circuit board is extended to project from the disk enclosure and the connectors are mounted on the surface of the projecting portion of the printed circuit board so that the connecting direction of the connectors orthogonally crosses the plane of the printed circuit board.

The sealing structure includes a base housing for receiving therein a plurality of hard disks, a spindle motor assembly for rotating the hard disks, and an actuator assembly, and having an upper surface on its outer peripheral portion, on which upper surface a plurality of projections of a predetermined height are formed; an annular packing assembly placed on the upper surface of the base housing along the projections formed on the upper surface, the annular packing assembly including a core member and a soft elastic member bonded to the core member; and a cover fixed to the base housing by crushing the packing assembly. The cover has an annular rib which is brought into abutment with the projections and the packing assembly when the cover is fixed to the base housing.
