  • Publication number: 20080080302
Abstract: In the droplet mixing method, droplets are mutually mixed in a micro channel. The method includes: a coalesced droplet forming step of forming a coalesced droplet in a size contacting an inner wall of the micro channel by coalescing the droplets to be mixed; and a mixing step of mutually mixing the droplets by reciprocating the coalesced droplet in a diverging portion where the micro channel has a branch channel to change a moving direction of the coalesced droplet, and thereby causing asymmetrical flows within the coalesced droplet.

  • Publication number: 20080076182
Abstract: Plasma and corpuscles can be separated from each other requiring only a small quantity of blood in a short period of time easily and yet accurately with a small, simple-structured tool to enable the plasma to be collected without needing the use of any chemical such as a separation assisting agent. A plasma collecting tool comprises a container having a micro space of an extremely thin rectangular shape measuring 50 ?m to 2 mm in thickness, and a blood filling port and a plasma collecting port both communicating with the micro space; a syringe which fills the micro space of the container with blood A via the blood filling port; an inclining device which inclines the container to achieve a prescribed angle of inclination relative to the vertical direction; and a syringe pump which collects plasma B by sucking the same through the plasma collecting port.

  • Publication number: 20080073297
Abstract: According to a blood plasma collection tool of the present invention, a phenomenon that blood cells in blood spontaneously precipitate due to an effect of gravitational force takes place in the very narrow microspace (separation part) having the very narrow depth in the direction of gravitational force of not greater than 1 mm, and the overflow channel functions as a dam against the separation part so that the blood plasma separated out as supernatant fluid can overflow beyond the overflow channel, whereby the blood cells separated out can be prevented from entering the collection part. Therefore, blood plasma can be collected by accurately and readily separating blood plasma and blood cells in a small amount of blood from each other in a short time, using a small tool having a simple structure.

  • Publication number: 20070194853
Abstract: A high-power amplifier changes matching conditions of an output matching circuit 5 connected between a final stage amplifying element 3 and an output terminal 8 in response to the output power of the amplifying element 3. Thus, the efficiency at low output power can be greatly improved without reducing the efficiency at the maximum output. Besides, since it is not necessary to load a DC-DC converter, an increase in size or cost can be prevented.
