  • Publication number: 20160345930
Abstract: A first blood vessel diameter and a second blood vessel diameter are measured using a first ultrasonic probe and a second ultrasonic probe that are provided close to a blood vessel of a subject so as to be situated at a given distance (Lp). Characteristic phases of a pulse wave are determined from the peak of a second-order differential value of the first blood vessel diameter and the peak of a second-order differential value of the second blood vessel diameter, and the difference (?t) in pulse wave transit time is calculated from the difference in timing between the characteristic phases to calculate pulse wave velocity (PWV). A given calculation process that uses the pulse wave velocity (PWV) and the measured blood vessel diameter as variables is performed to calculate blood pressure.

  • Publication number: 20130303916
Abstract: A processing device included in a cardiac output monitoring system includes an arterial diameter measurement ultrasonic probe that is attached to a neck of a subject, and measures the diameter of the carotid artery, and an arterial diameter measurement control section. A carotid artery diameter control section analyzes an ultrasonic echo to calculate the diameter of the artery (DOA), and outputs the diameter of the artery (DOA) to an ejection time/mean arterial pressure calculation section. The ejection time/mean arterial pressure calculation section calculates the ejection time (ET) from a temporal change in the diameter of the artery (DOA), and calculates the cardiac output. The temporal change waveform of the diameter of the artery (DOA) is clearer than the waveform of the blood flow velocity in the aorta or the ventricular outflow tract measured using an ultrasonic Doppler method, and the ejection time (ET) can be automatically calculated with high accuracy.

  • Patent number: 8068397
Abstract: In a write once type optical disc, when ejecting the disc and turning power OFF, it is necessary to update record management data on the disc so that the record management data on the disc coincide with the record management data on the memory. Here, the update of the record management data on the disc requires a certain time. The present invention provides a user-friendly recording/reproduction apparatus including a unit for judging whether the disc record management information can be updated according to the ratio of the recorded capacity with respect to the recording-enabled capacity. Upon completion of the user data recording, the disc record management information is recorded so that the record management data is not updated when power is turned OFF or the disc is ejected, thereby reducing the time required for the power turning OFF and the disc ejection.

  • Publication number: 20080047005
Abstract: In an access monitoring method and device for shared memory which can monitor access information from an arbitrary processor to a shared memory regardless of a type of a multi-processor system, a bus interface within a shared memory board receives, from an arbitrary request source processor among a plurality of processors, a request packet in which an identifier of a processor and an acquisition request (or a release request) of an access right to the shared memory are set. The bus interface sets (or resets) the identifier of the request source processor in the shared memory depending on the acquisition request (or the release request) of the access right, generates an answer packet indicating an acquisition (or a release) of the access right corresponding to the setting (or the resetting) of the identifier of the request source processor, and broadcasts the answer packet to all of the processors.
