  • Publication number: 20240102917
Abstract: According to an aspect, a detection device includes: photodiodes that are provided on a substrate; light-emitting elements that are arranged so as to face the photodiodes; and a light-transmitting placement substrate that is disposed between the photodiodes and the light-emitting elements and on which target objects are to be placed. The photodiodes, the placement substrate, and the light-emitting elements are arranged in the order as listed, in a direction orthogonal to the substrate. A light-emitting element of the light-emitting elements corresponding to the photodiode to be detected is controlled to be lit, and another light-emitting element of the light-emitting elements corresponding to the photodiode not to be detected is controlled to be unlit. The photodiodes to be detected output sensor values based on light from the lit-up light-emitting elements. The light-emitting elements adjacent to the lit-up light-emitting elements at least in row and column directions are controlled to be unlit.

  • Publication number: 20180301293
Abstract: Provided is an onboard load control device and a computer program that can reliably detect and extinguish an arc discharge occurring between a pair of terminals of a connector. Arc discharges are caused in advance between terminals of a connector 2 that relays connection to onboard loads, a wireless detection unit receives electromagnetic waves generated due to the arc discharges, and detects frequency distributions of received intensities, and the detected frequency distributions are stored in a ROM in association with the respective onboard loads. Thereafter, frequency distributions that are acquired by the wireless detection unit chronologically are compared with the frequency distributions stored in the ROM, and the electric current flowing to the onboard load that corresponds to the matching frequency distributions is interrupted.

  • Publication number: 20170322158
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a specimen detection device includes a light source, a filter, a sensor, and a controller. The light source executes a first operation and a second operation. The first operation causes a first light of a first peak wavelength to be incident on a specimen. The second operation causes a second light of a second peak wavelength to be incident on the specimen. The filter attenuates the first and second lights and transmits at least a portion of a third light and at least a portion of a fourth light. The third light is emitted from the specimen. The fourth light is emitted from the specimen. The sensor outputs a first signal and a second signal. The first signal corresponds to the third. The second signal corresponds to the fourth light. The controller calculates a result value by processing the first and second signals.

  • Patent number: 9405406
Abstract: An image pickup device capable of stably detecting an object irrespective of use conditions while reducing manufacturing costs is provided. When illumination light from a backlight is emitted to a proximity object from an I/O display panel, an electric charge is accumulated in image pickup pixels in accordance with total light amount, including reflected light originating from the backlight and external environment light. Moreover, when the illumination light is not emitted, a discharging electric charge is released from the image pickup pixels in accordance with the amount of environment light. Thereby, an environment light component is subtracted from an image pickup signal obtained from each of the image pickup pixels, so object information about the proximity object is obtained without influence of the environment light. Moreover, in a light reception drive circuit, fewer frame memories for producing a picked-up image from the image pickup signal are necessary.
