  • Publication number: 20060080094
Abstract: Noise is prevented when decoding an audio stream not containing syncwords or CRC bits in the elementary stream. When decoding a current frame, the private header of the next frame is analyzed and the current frame is muted if the private header of the next frame is not valid. When there is a data discontinuity caused by editing, decoding resumes from the start address of the next frame determined by the stream analyzing means.

  • Patent number: 5950817
Abstract: A container 2 for flat panel comprising: a lower end holding resilient member 38 disposed on a bottom end of a lower end bottom groove 32 to which a lower end of the flat panel 34 contained in the container 2 is inserted, and an upper end holding resilient member 50 having a belt shaped portion covering an upper end of the flat panel 34 along the longitudinal direction thereof. The upper end holding resilient member 50 has an U-shaped cross section, a pair of fitting rods extending along the longitudinal direction thereof are attached at both sides of both ends of the longitudinal direction thereof, and each end of each fitting rod 52 is attached removably in an engagement groove 58 of an adapter 56 attached in the container 2. In accordance with the container 2 for flat panel of the present invention, it is possible to take custody of or transport a plural of flat panels such as glass substrates used for flat display devices without destroying them and contaminating the surfaces of them.

  • Patent number: 5826721
Abstract: A foldable container for storing and transporting rolled articles wound on a spool or a support tube, comprising a top cover, a bottom panel fixed to the bottom frame, front and rear partition panels, and left and right panels. The front and rear panels are each divided into upper and lower parts along division lines, and formed therein with support holes aligned with the division lines and opposed between the front and rear partition panels. The two halves of each of the support holes are covered at their inner peripheries with elastic protectors, and opposite end parts of the support tubes are received in the support holes so as to suspend the rolled articles between the partition panels. Thereby it is possible to surely store the rolled articles with less time and labor, and to reduce consumption of packing material to a minimum value with no damage thereto being caused even though primary packing is eliminated.

  • Patent number: 4651322
Abstract: In a laser of such type that the distribution of the effective refractive index varies in a direction which is along the face of its active layer and perpendicular to the direction of the laser light transmission, thereby defining the active region to be between a pair of refractive index changing zones, the refractive indexes of a pair of end surfaces of a laser resonator (i.e. the active region) is made smaller than the intrinsic refractive indexes of the cleavage face of the active layer.

  • Patent number: 4488306
Abstract: In a semiconductor laser of terraced substrate type, comprising on a terraced substrate (11) of n-GaAs substrate, a first clad layer (12) of n-GaAlAs, an active layer (13) of non-doped GaAlAs, a second clad layer (14) of p-GaAlAs and a current limiting layer (15) of n-GaAs, and further thereon a thick overriding layer (19) of n-GaAlAs with strip shaped opening (191), are epitaxially formed, and a current injection layer (16) is formed by Zn diffusion through the opening (191) in a manner one corner (161) of the injection front penetrate the current limiting layer (15) and reaches the second clad layer (14). By means of thick overriding layer (19), shortcircuiting between the active layer (13) and a p-side electrode (7) is prevented.

  • Patent number: 3959664
Abstract: A cathodic protection, anticorrosive circuit comprises a diode connection of a transistor or a Schotkky diode interconnected between a buried structure to be protected and a galvanic anode or the like so that even when the difference in potential between them is relatively low, an effective forward or anticorrosion current may flow while positively preventing the reverse current which causes the corrosion of the buried structure.
