  • Patent number: 9406422
Abstract: There is provided a superconducting magnet in which magnetization caused by a shielding current of a superconducting winding is eliminated whereby the current to be supplied to the superconducting winding is uniformized, and thus uniformity of the central magnetic field is secured. The superconducting magnet has a superconducting winding composed of a superconductor, and an outer AC winding composed of a superconductor or non-superconductor wound coaxially with the superconducting winding, at an outer side the superconducting winding; and an AC current is supplied to the outer AC winding thereby applying an AC magnetic field in a direction perpendicular to a direction of magnetization caused in the superconducting winding by the shielding current, and thus the magnetization is eliminated. Also, the superconducting magnet has an inner AC winding composed of a superconductor or non-superconductor wound coaxially with the superconducting winding, at an inner side of the superconducting winding layer.

  • Patent number: 7777602
Abstract: Tape-shaped superconducting wires, and a superconducting coil formed from said wires, wherein a plurality of electrically separated superconducting film parts, each having a rectangular cross section and arranged in parallel, form parallel conductors, providing superconducting wires capable of containing losses incurred in the presence of alternating current (A/C). A superconducting coil is made by winding the superconducting wires, wherein the coil structure contains at least a part wherein perpendicular interlinkage magnetic fluxes acting among conductor elements of the parallel conductors by the distribution of magnetic fields generated by the superconducting coils cancel mutually in order to contain circulating current within the wires and to make shunt current uniform, thereby providing a low-loss A/C superconducting coil.

  • Publication number: 20100107703
Abstract: A warm air inlet (10) and a warm air outlet (9) of a laterally provided cylindrical water tub (2) are separately arranged in the direction of the axis of the water tub (2). An airflow duct (32) connecting the warm air inlet (10) and the warm air outlet (9) is placed in the axis direction of the water tub (2), substantially directly below the water tub (2). A compressor (53) of a heat pump (57) having an evaporator (41) and a condenser (42) that are placed in the airflow duct (32) is placed at a position at a side of the airflow duct (32) so as to be orthogonal to the axis direction of the tub (2).

  • Publication number: 20060077025
Abstract: Tape-shaped superconducting wires are made by forming a superconducting film on the substrate. At least the superconducting film is slit, electrically separated into a plurality of superconducting film parts each having a rectangular cross section and arranged in parallel to form parallel conductors. This provides superconducting wires capable of containing AC loss. A superconducting coil is made by winding the superconducting wires described above, wherein the provision of a coil structure containing at least partially a part wherein the perpendicular interlinkage magnetic flux acting among various conductor elements of the parallel conductors by the distribution of the magnetic field generated by the superconducting coils cancel mutually enables a simple structure without transposition to cancel mutually the interlinkage magnetic flux by the perpendicular magnetic field against wires, to contain circulating current within the wires by the perpendicular magnetic field and to make shunt current uniform.
