Patent number: 8582586Abstract: In an onboard gateway apparatus, when data is received from one network, the received data is stored in the buffer. The buffer includes a first storage area for storing data in the order of priority of an identifier (ID) attached to the data and a second storage area for storing data in the order in which the data is received. A control means stores the received data in one of the first and second storage areas based on the attached identifier, and sends the data to another network in accordance with the priority of the ID of the data. As to data passing through the first storage area, sending in the order of priority is ensured. As to data passing through the second storage area, sending in the order in which the data is received is ensured.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 2010Date of Patent: November 12, 2013Assignees: Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Honda Elesys Co., Ltd.Inventors: Michitaka Tsuboi, Makoto Ikeda, Yoshiaki Murata, Kazuhisa Yamamoto, Kazuo Hirabayashi, Tetsuya Yashiki, Kazunari Okada, Shuji Tomimatsu, Hiroshi Nishimura

Patent number: 5546306Abstract: An electronic control apparatus for an engine of a vehicle has a first CPU for fuel control which controls the amount of fuel to be supplied to the engine and a second CPU for throttle valve control which outputs a driving signal to an actuator which operates to open or close the throttle valve disposed in an intake pipe to the engine. The apparatus has an opening degree computing member which is provided in the first CPU to compute an opening degree of the throttle valve based at least on an amount of depression of an accelerator and then to output a result thereof as an opening degree signal. The first CPU and the second CPU are connected together by a communication line which transfers the opening degree signal from the opening degree computing member from the first CPU to the second CPU.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 1993Date of Patent: August 13, 1996Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kazuo Hirabayashi, Norio Suzuki, Yosuke Tachibana

Patent number: 5456231Abstract: An apparatus of controlling an intake air throttle valve capable of obtaining the certain drive for the change in the load applied to the throttle valve due to the change in the intake air amount in the transient period, without any increase in current consumption and reduction in responsiveness. The apparatus includes a throttle valve for controlling an intake air amount in the internal combustion engine; a motor for electrically controlling the throttle valve; and a drive circuit for controlling the drive torque of the motor. It further includes a throttle valve opening defining device for defining a parameter indicating the opening of the throttle valve; a comparing device for comparing the value of the parameter defined by the throttle valve opening defining device; and a torque increasing device for increasing the output torque by the drive circuit when the comparing device judges that the value of the parameter is larger than the specified value.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 1994Date of Patent: October 10, 1995Assignee: Honda Giken Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Norio Suzuki, Yasuo Takagi, Yosuke Tachibana, Ritsuko Terawaki, Kazuo Hirabayashi

Patent number: 5065834Abstract: A driving wheel slip control system installed in a vehicle and having abnormality-detecting and failsafe functions. The system includes a slip status signal-generating device for generating a slip status signal indicative of whether or not the driving wheels of the vehicle are in a predetermined slip state, and a slip level signal-generating device for generating a slip level signal indicative of a degree of slip of the driving wheels. If a logical relationship between the slip status signal and the slip level signal is abnormal, and if the prime mover for driving the driving wheels is not accelerating and at the same time the slip level signal indicates the predetermined slip state, the slip level signal is determined to be abnormal. If an abnormality is detected during driving wheel slip control, an amount of reduction in output of the driving wheels is set to a predetermined amount to thereby continue driving wheel slip control, until the prime mover enters an operating condition other than acceleration.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 1990Date of Patent: November 19, 1991Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kazuo Hirabayashi, Tetsuya Oono, Eitetsu Akiyama, Yukihisa Ishii, Shigenobu Sekiya, Yuji Fujimura
