  • Patent number: 4120516
Abstract: A cover member for a safety air-cushion device is made up of a bag-shaped outer laminate of high density polyurethane foam, and a bag-shaped inner laminate of low density polyurethane foam which is integral with the outer laminate, the inner laminate being made by pouring the fluidized material into a mold after solidification of the other fluidized material having been poured into the mold for the formation of the outer laminate.

  • Patent number: 4102217
Abstract: A flat clamp plate is fastened to an instrument panel of a vehicle body. A clamp attachment with a top panel is fixed to a telescopically movable part of the steering column and is in slidable engagement with the clamp plate through a hook connection at the front and rear ends thereof. The clamp plate and the clamp attachment are fastened together by means of shear pins which are breakable under a predetermined shearing stress.

  • Patent number: 4055375
Abstract: A first annular member provided with at least two different shaped conductive spring arms is fixedly and coaxially connected to a rotatable member for rotatable movement therewith the two spring arms having different characteristic frequencies respectively. A second annular member provided with an annular conductive rail is connected to a relatively stationary member so as to be coaxially spaced apart from the first annular member. The free ends of the conductive spring arms are urged into sliding contact with the annular conductive rail.

  • Patent number: 4006954
Abstract: Roller bearings ensure electrical contact and smooth rotation between a rotatable member and a stationary member even during severe vibration.

  • Patent number: 3997224
Abstract: A stationary outer annular holder is concentrically positioned around and radially spaced apart from a rotatable annular conductive plate member. Curved conductive spring bands are supported on the holder so as to be urged into sliding contact with the annular conductive plate member. Electrical contact and smooth rotation between the holder and the annular conductive plate member are thus ensured even during severe vibration.

  • Patent number: 3930665
Abstract: Two uniform sheets are separated from each other by a corrugated member. The alternating ridges of the corrugated member are spot-welded to the inner surfaces of the two sheets. One of the sheets forms an impact receiving surface and has rows of slots, each row being located between the ridges. Upon impact, the slotted sheet is fractured and the adjoining spot-welded sections of the corrugated member are progressively deformed to distribute the impact force over a large area.
