Abstract: A medical wireless telemeter includes a transmitter section having one or more different types of transmitters corresponding to different medical body signals to be transmitted as a telegram to a receiver. The receiver has different body signal processing circuits corresponding to the various types of number of medical body signals which may be sent by the transmitter. A process or specifying circuit specifies a particular body signal processing circuit after the receiver identifies the particular transmitter kind code from the telegram received after the transmitter identification code has been received which specifies the particular medical body measurement analysis to be conducted.

Abstract: A channel management apparatus provided for a plurality of master radio communication units which perform communication by selecting as desired one or more of a plurality of channels that are respectively assigned to a plurality of slave radio communication units. This apparatus is provided with a shared storage device which is capable of being set on each master unit and which contains items of data on registered channels which correspond to all of channels used by the master units, and a plurality of groups of devices incorporated in the master units.

Abstract: An input device for supplying detected signals from electrodes and transducers attached to a patient to a patient monitoring system used in an ICU or a CCU includes a case having a plug-in connector for transmission of the signals and power between the input device and the system, and a plurality of lines for receiving physiological input signals, a RAM disposed in the case for storing patient data items necessary for monitoring a patient, a backup battery disposed in the case for backing up the RAM, and a switch disposed in the case and actuatable in response to detachment of the case from the patient monitoring system for switching from a power supply of the patient monitoring system to the backup battery to keep the RAM energized.
