    Abstract: To provide a safety device that can control a landing point of a flight vehicle in the event of a crash. The safety device provided with a flight vehicle includes a first parachute configured to reduce a falling velocity and control an attitude of the flight vehicle during falling, a second parachute configured to be opened later than the first parachute and to reduce an impact when the flight vehicle lands, a sensor portion configured to detect a fall of the flight vehicle, and a control unit configured to control opening of the first parachute and the second parachute. In addition, the control unit opens the first parachute at a first timing after the sensor portion detects the fall and opens the second parachute at a second timing after the first timing and when a predetermined condition is satisfied.

    Abstract: In a configuration in which a first shaft portion configured to drive a pump mechanism and a second shaft portion configured to drive an expansion mechanism are coupled to each other, a Rankine cycle system which is capable of continuing the circulation of working fluid by an expansion machine even when the pump mechanism is locked is provided. This Rankine cycle system of the invention employs a pump and an expansion machine coupled in a tandem manner. A first shaft of the pump and a second shaft of the expansion machine are concentric and the first shaft is capable of transmitting power to the second shaft. A pump torque limiter is provided between the first shaft and a main gear. A one-way clutch is provided between a sensing shaft and the second shaft.

    Abstract: A single-tub washing and dehydrating machine includes a microcomputer control means which, when the drain hole is blocked with laundries to be dehydrated in a dehydrating process to cause reduction of pressure inside an air trap and thereby a reset water level is detected erroneously, provides an error indication immediately after the detection, or controls the pulsator to effect a predetermined corrective operation for correcting the position of the laundries to be dehydrated inside the washing/dehydrating tub and thereafter provides an error indication if the correction is judged as impossible. Alternatively, the single-tub washing and dehydrating machine further includes a filter case having a plurality of slit holes, and a lint filter having a removable sack-shaped net while the lint filter is fitted detachably to the filter case.

    Abstract: A tiltable vehicle steering column assembly including a steering shaft assembly constituted by an upper shaft and a lower shaft which are connected together by a first universal joint. A transmission shift rod assembly is provided on the steering shaft assembly and constituted by an upper rod portion and a second rod portion which are connected together by a second universal joint so that the upper rod portion can be tiltably moved together with the upper shaft of the steering shaft assembly. The second universal joint is located at a side of and in the same heightwise position as the first universal joint so that the upper rod portion of the shift rod assembly is not relatively moved with respect to the upper shaft of the steering shaft assembly when the steering shaft assembly is tiltably moved.
