  • Patent number: 11938983
Abstract: A train position estimation device which calculates the position of a vehicle traveling on a predetermined path and comprises a surroundings shape measurement unit that is installed in the vehicle and measures the shape of the surroundings of the current location of the vehicle and a map storage unit for storing surroundings shape data at positions measured in advance, the train position estimation device being characterized by comprising a start position estimation unit for storing the probability of presence of the vehicle at each position; a map retrieval section determination device for outputting surroundings shape data for each position in descending order of presence probability; and a matching processing device that compares the surroundings shape data for the current location with the retrieved surroundings shape data and outputs the position for which the difference therebetween is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 8087925
Abstract: A device for forming headrest in a foaming die, which includes a lid engagement mechanism operable to keep a lid member engaged in an injection nozzle placed in the foaming die, thereby preventing leakage of liquid foaming agent from the injection nozzle. Further, the device includes a lid disengagement mechanism operable to disengage the lid member from the injection nozzle and an injection gun movable vertically. The lid disengagement mechanism includes a pressure element provided at the injection gun. Upon downward movement of the injection gun, the pressure element acts on the lid member, so that the lid member is disengaged from the injection nozzle and the injection gun is then engaged with the injection nozzle, thereby allowing liquid foaming agent to be injected into a trim cover assembly placed in the foaming die.

  • Patent number: 5669130
Abstract: A seat back assembling device designed for engaging two hook members of an incomplete seat back unit with each other to close the corresponding opened side thereof so as to form a complete seat back. In the device, all required operative mechanisms are collectively disposed to automatically assemble such incomplete seat back unit. Namely, the incomplete seat back unit is pressingly supported by a pressing mechanism, and the two hook members of the incomplete seat back unit are provisionally secured and brought to engagement with each other, by a positioning mechanism and a positioning/engaging mechanism. The hook members thus engaged together are subject to a further positive mutual engagement by way of a positive engagement mechanism. All those mechanisms are disposed as close as possible to a part of the device, such as a support base frame, without requiring other separate robot systems.

  • Patent number: 5586377
Abstract: A system for covering a cushion member with a sack-like trim cover assembly, which includes a securing mechanism with support element and a covering guide mechanism. The sack-liked trim cover assembly is turned inside out and secured on the securing mechanism, with the cushion member secured thereon in an opposedly faced relation with such turnedover trim cover assembly. Both cushion member and trim cover assembly are located precisely by the support element at a given position on the securing mechanism. The securing mechanism and covering guide mechanism are operated in a direction opposite to each other, thereby displacing the cushion member to an opened side of the trim cover assembly, while the trim cover assembly is being turned over again by the covering guide mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5333933
Abstract: A seat with a trim cover assembly having plural stitches thereon, wherein the stitches are arranged in a non-parallel relation with one another on one unitary sheet of the trim cover assembly which is affixed over a cushion body. Those patterns of stitches are formed at one time by means of a multiple-needle sewing machine.

  • Patent number: 5193474
Abstract: A method of feeding a unitary sheet of trim cover assembly to a multiple-needle sewing machine for creating plural stitches thereon, in which non-parallel stitches are formed among parallel stitches on the trim cover assembly by means of a guide member having a sloped portion. The sloped configuration of the guide member causes formation of sloped, folded portion in the trim cover assembly, and the trim cover assembly with such folded portion is fed to the multiple-needle sewing machine.
