  • Patent number: 7289068
Abstract: An antenna consisting of a single small and lightweight package, where each radiating element operates independently with reduced interference among the radiating elements. An integrated multi-element planar antenna includes a ground pattern 2 with a notch 2b formed at an end 2a, first radiating element 3 placed on one side of the notch 2b and equipped with a feeder 5, and second radiating element 4 placed on the other side of the notch 2b and equipped with a feeder 5. For example, inverted F antennas are used as the first radiating element 3 and second radiating element 4. The first radiating element 3 and second radiating element 4 are placed symmetrically about the notch 2b such that separation distance will be the largest at locations where their radiation fields are the highest.

  • Patent number: 6636181
Abstract: A portable device having a base member and a hingedly attached lid member does not require a signal cable to transmit a high-frequency signal between the base unit and the lid. While the lid of the lap-top PC is closed, a radio device installed in the base unit transmits a high-frequency signal from a first antenna to a second antenna, the signal is then output from a signal cable attached third antenna to the atmosphere. The device structured as described above can transmit the high-frequency signal in a non-contact manner between the antenna of the base unit and the antenna of the lid in such a way that there is no need to provide a signal cable between the base unit part and the lid part.

  • Patent number: 4603124
Abstract: A surfactant having the capacity of reducing the surface tension in pulmonary alveoli significantly is provided. The surfactant consists essentially of, based on the total weight of the surfactant, 50.6-85.0% of a chlorine phosphogylceride, 4.5-37.6% of an acid phospholipid, 4.6-24.6% of a fatty acid or its analogue and 0.1-10.0% of a lipoprotein derived from the lung of a mammal. These components cooperate to form a kind of film at a gas-liquid interface within pulmonary alveoli and reduce the surface tension. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the surfactant is useable for the clinical treatment of respiratory distress syndrome.
