  • Patent number: 7454917
Abstract: An air conditioner for a vehicle has a variable capacity compressor for compressing a refrigerant and controlling a discharged volume of the refrigerant by a power source for driving a vehicle, and a controller for setting a second target temperature higher by a predetermined temperature than a preset first target temperate and controlling the discharged volume of the refrigerant based on the second target temperature when entering into a state where fuel consumption of the power source for driving the vehicle is lowered.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 9, 2004
Date of Patent: November 25, 2008
    Assignee: Calsonic Kansei Corporation
Inventors: Hiroyasu Nadamoto, Kazuo Masuko, Ryuichi Hirose, Tadashi Suzuki, Hiroyuki Makishima

  • Patent number: 6883340
Abstract: A vehicle air conditioning control apparatus having an externally controlled type compressor 3 and an externally controlled type cooling electric fan 9 is disclosed in which a control map, for determining a duty ratio for a fan motor 10 in terms of a compressor discharge pressure Pd, is determined based on the maximum efficiency point, for providing the maximum fuel consumption, that allows a total engine load torque, represented by a total sum of an engine load torque caused by the externally controlled type compressor 3 and an engine load torque caused by a fan motor 10, to be a minimum torque, and a duty voltage to be applied to the fan motor 10 is controlled using the compressor outlet pressure Pd and the control map which is determined.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 26, 2003
Date of Patent: April 26, 2005
    Assignee: Calsonic Kansei Corporation

  • Patent number: 6823681
Abstract: In a vehicular air conditioning control apparatus having a compressor and an electric cooling fan of an externally controlled type, a fan motor control for increasing fan motor load is carried out in a compressor discharge capacity region lower than in normal control in below-listed cases. (1) When a requested cooling performance is predicted to increase. (2) When a vehicle is brought into an idling state. (3) In cool down in which a requested cooling performance is predicted to increase to be equal to or larger than a set value, or when a vehicle is brought into an idling state.
